hi everyone!

here is my timed reaction to doctor who season 13 episode 1 "the halloween apocalypse"

wow what a start!!!! this was truly throwing us in the deep end for the season and im excited to see what all unfolds!

So some helpful notes lol Dan is played by a British Comedian called John Bishop, from Liverpool, so he has a 'Scouse' accent, can be very regional and potentially hard to understand but you should be fine. Outside his house was real, it was the streets around the football ground there (Anfield), that ground is what you can see in the background. Yaz is from Sheffield which is like an hour or two from Liverpool so the stuff between them is basically like any time you have two people from nearby places (your town sucks, the people there are awful etc lol) This was aired in 2021 and was filmed I think a combination before and after covid so filming and the series was affected, so the series is set out different to the others as you already kinda said at the end there. But if you need any help on the layout of the series (no spoilers obvs) let me know as obviously we all knew about this before it aired so it may help, but if you're happy to go through and see what you can work out all fine as well lol And I think that skip intro button is new, I don't remember it, or maybe just didn't notice cause I'm too busy jamming to the intro music who knows. Oh, and an episode of you just running backwards from a weeping angel would be hilarious lmao

Filmed during the height of the pandemic. There wasn't even a vaccine yet and everybody had to test twice a day. It is a miracle the show was even made and hats off to the crew, actors and anybody associated with making it.

It is so amazing that they were able to put anything at all together! Filming during Covid _before there was a vaccine_!!! I'm sure the reduced number of episodes has got to be because of the cost of all the Covid protocols they had to have in place trying to keep everyone safe and healthy. I think I've heard Chibnall say that Jodie basically isolated for a year so they could film all this.

I love this wild start to this series! There's lots of excitement, and there's so much humor in it, too! It's like a carnival ride. It's great to see the Doctor and her companion piloting the TARDIS together. Go, Yaz! And Yaz figuring out the traps and whatnot to let Dan out of the cage -- she's really showing what she can do. Plus how she's getting in the Doctor's face about the Doctor keeping way too much secret and not letting Yaz in. Go, Yaz! And what's with that big messy bed Yaz and the Doctor dropped into after falling into the TARDIS and bouncing off that trampoline? Are Yaz and the Doctor sleeping together in the TARDIS control room?? I kinda love that. Swarm is such a great villain / monster. Love the design. Him and his sister. So much glitter! And he kills people by turning them into glitter? Glitter is evil. I've tried to clean up glitter after a group of kids doing crafts and it is impossible, insidious. It gets everywhere. Weeks later, and it's still everywhere. Glitter is evil. -- Which is also kind of hilarious.... Remember the Division from the end of last series? So much stuff to remember! Love the nitro-9 shout out! Ace!

to be probably the worst episode of doctor who ever :( i liked the start of the new doctor and then they did THIS ... like as if the doctor never would kill a monster ... what am i even watching xD
