With the school building burning thing, I think you forgot about the last episode. Remember the building that burned down at the end?

Think you missed the Principle and Police Chief acknowledging that they know about vampires and something more going on that they know about.

Giles' speech in the first episode: "In every generation there is a Chosen One. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer." "She", all slayers are women.

The thing about the Anointed One kid is that they were not sure what to do with him and the kid started puberty so he couldn't give much dialog without his voice cracking so they dusted the character before it became too big an issue.

And just like that... we are off to the races! Now you're starting to get a taste of what the show's potential really is. Others in the comments have mentioned it, and I don't think it's going to be a spoiler: ALL slayers are and have been women. Only women. This is part of why this show is considered to be feminist in nature =) Also, as somebody else pointed out, I think you should go back and rewatch that scene at the end of the episode where Snyder and the police officer are talking. It's an important scene. They're dropping some interesting tidbits in there that you will want to take in. It's going to be rewarded later on. Trust me. Great reaction as usual!

She misses a bit of the dialogue and the world building by it. A lot of reactors have this issue just talking over dialogue or 'reacting' with conversation that tends to ramble. It happens
