loved watching this season with you!! once you eventually finish the modern series, classic who is definitely too much to get through, but i'd totally recommend the 1996 Movie! its pretty much completely self contained and is a fun peek into what the show couldve been in the 90s :)

See that's interesting I was always a bit annoyed by the ending, like you did all the work and now you've just filed the fob watch away! lol But now you mentioned what you thought it did actually remind of that moment, think at the end of last series? The fugitive Doctor essentially says how it still doesn't really change who the Doctor is and that kinda links with this ending, so now I'm like hmm ok, maybe I appreciate this ending more now lol But yeah I loved the flux series, so much happening, long term stories, BIG action and episodes, I really enjoyed it.

John Bishop (Dan) is quite an interesting guy. He has done some amazing "stunts" for charity. In 2012, at age 45, he raised 3.4 million pounds completing a super triathlon from Paris to London. Bicycling 185 miles from the Eiffel tower to the coast in under 24 hours, then rowing across the English Channel (with a team, and despite severe seasickness) and finally running three consecutive marathons in 3 days (just under 90 miles) to reach London. A total of over 290 miles in 5 days!

Hey Emme, really enjoyed your reaction to Flux. Like you, I really like that the Doctor stored the fob watch away, I think that it balances the fact that the Doctor is who they are now, but acknowledges that there is still a part of her identity that is missing, like the fact of where she originally comes from. I think it would be too soon for the Doctor to regain her lost memories, just after finding out that they even existed and experienced everything that happened during the Flux, especially meeting Tecteun face to face. As you said, it's facing a big part of yourself that opens a can of worms because the memories she’d regain would contain the relentless years on the run from Division, the unknown number of lives she had working for the Division doing unspeakable stuff for them, being under the abusive parenthood of Tecteun, the years of experiments she performed on her, and then potentially the answer to the biggest mystery of all, why she was left by that monument under the wormhole and where she originally comes from. To answer your question about in what situation would be really asking for the fob watch, I think you could have similar seasons to Flux where forgotten enemies and companions come back into the Doctor’s life, and they need to access the memories in the fob watch in order to learn more about them. I do think though that we should’ve seen some memories in the fob watch before she stored it away in the TARDIS. Perhaps, instead of Azure telling the Doctor about her and Swarm’s motivations, she learns that they serve and worship the sentient force of Time from seeing a memory of a battle with them, and the Doctor uses that knowledge to defeat the Ravagers in a way that they fail Time and leads to their punishment for failing by being stripped of their freedom and absorbed into the time force.

Referring to death as "an awfully big adventure" -- that's from Peter Pan: "To die will be an awfully big adventure." I love that you found all the jumping around as something you enjoyed about the episode. We've had all these great cliffhangers throughout the season, and with all these jumps, it's sort of like we get all kinds of cliffhangers throughout the episode. Karvinista's howl as he mourns the Lupari breaks my heart. I really like how this is a multiple Doctor episode, but that it's multiples of the same Doctor. The Doctor interacting with the Doctor is always fun. I also appreciate that the Doctor does not open the fob watch and get all those memories back. I really like the Doctor's apology to Yaz. Is the Doctor embarrassed that there is a lot of her life, her lives, that she doesn't know about?
