Fun fact if you didnt know: the titles was originally meant to have ruby and the doctor at the door. Looking into the vortex as it was going to be connected to the finale but Steven Moffat was shown it and gave feedback and they was removed.

*Just a little comment before I watch the video. I’ve been looking forward to this reaction: I used the word “unsettling” about this episode, but it was more about an element of this episode- specifically the fucking creepiness of the babies. So I’m looking forward to what you think about it: I remember being rather disturbed by them, when I first watched the episode, and I haven’t gone back for a second viewing, until now haha. Hopefully I won’t be as creeped out this time around, now I’m prepared for what is coming…see you on the other side haha.

* And now a comment after watching the video. Ok, I admit, I was a lot less creeped out by the talking babies this time around, than I was when I first watched this episode: they’re still a little on the unsettling side, but not they’re not the ungodly creepy little bastards I remember them being haha. Still, it’s a bit of a trip of an episode, and the big Bogeyman reveal is rather disgusting: it’s not my favourite first episode of a new Doctor Who series, but it’s ok, and has some fun/sweet moments. There’s not much else to say about it, really: it was a pretty self-contained episode, setting up the dynamic between the characters, with a few questions about Ruby thrown into the mix at the end. Not a terrible, but not a classic: just a perfectly fine episode, with the odd feature being the titular “Space Babies” themselves haha. I’m glad you seem to be vibing with this new duo: I really like Ruby as the Companion, and I think Ncuti does a great job with his interpretation of the Doctor; the character being more open, and emotionally available after everything they’ve been through, makes sense, and Ncuti excellent at bringing thar aspect of the character out. Looking forward to the next episode- I know I say this all the time, but it’s always true haha. Hope you’re having a great weekend. xx

Haha yeah, it turns out I wasn’t as creeped out by the babies this time around, as I was the first time I watched the episode. No idea why: perhaps I am just more used to the idea of it now, than I was when I was surprised by it haha. It’s still a a bit weird, but not as bad as I remembered, thankfully haha. Yeah, maybe you were still in “baby mode” after meeting your nephew, that even talking babies couldn’t creep you out: or maybe they were actually kind of cute, and I’m just being an old grump haha. I think it might have something to do with a ‘Haribo’ advert in the UK, that gives me the creeps: it features scenes with adults, but they are miming and have the voices of little kids…and it has always really freaked me out, but I have no idea why haha. Guess I’m just an odd person…but then I already knew that haha. Hope you’re having a great week. xx
