here is my timed reaction to doctor who season 14 episode 7 "rogue"

this was such a fun but sad episode!!! i loved the theme, but it was so sad for the doctor and rogue. maybe we will see him again some day :')

The episode was co written by two women (first time in modern Who I believe?) but I'm pretty sure the premise was Doctor Who meets Bridgerton, think they did an interview where they basically said that was it lol Think we need to bring back cad as an insult lol But the chemistry between The Doctor and Rouge was really good, the scene with Ncuti dancing to Kylie is hilarious lol So on a negative side, when you mentioned about the ending of the last episode and the racism he faced... so an insight into the level of twitter discourse had gotten to at this stage in the #NotMyDoctor era.... basically Jodie and Ncuti... I posted a gif of that Ncuti dancing scene and someone replied in all caps with something about how that isn't real Doctor Who and then blocked me... I think Ncuti crushes it as the Doctor but the show was facing ridiculous online reactions like that and it was very tiring. It's just so nice watching you enjoying the show for the show, it was sometimes difficult to do at the time :/

ugh its honestly getting a bit rough over on the youtube side. im so surprised at how many people claim to be doctor who "fans" while at the same time are spouting "go woke go broke." i can recognize that theres definitely a difference with the writing in the recent seasons but its not "woke" thats the problem!!! its incredible that people do not realize the show theyve been watching and loving has been woke for the whole time

Right!? Like Capaldi literally punched a racist in the face in ‘Thin Ice’ with Bill and talks about history being a white wash lol Classic Who was always dealing with issues of the day, and it’s hilarious and also infuriating that people suddenly call the show ‘woke’ now lol But yeah as you’re experiencing, people can not like this era if they want but when you start giving THOSE reasons then I’m not taking you seriously and you clearly aren’t a fan of the show and what it’s always stood for. I applaud your effort to continue dealing with YouTube comments! 👏👏
