here is my edited reaction to doctor who season 15 episode 5 "the story & the engine"

out of the episodes in this season so far, personally this was a bit of a miss for me. i felt like it had great ideas in concept but seemed convoluted along the way?? let me know your thoughts on it!

I understand finding this one a little confusing. I did too at first. But this us probably my favourite 15th Doctor stories. There are others I'd rewatch more but this one felt truly his own if that makes sense. It feels unique and while it's abstract nature is a bit confusing I really respect it's ambition. These big, weird ideas are what made this era of the show really engaging to me. As for the Fugitive aspect I took it to mean that in that moment the Doctor was able to recall that specific memory or he just realised if we he couldn't fully remember it then it must have been when he was the Fugitive.

I love this story but yeah it can be a little hard to follow, especially as you are also filming a reaction to it. Definitely one that needs a re watch. But it's really different to pretty much anything else in Who. A heads up the next episode does have an end credit scene.
