Rebels definitely doesn't get enough credit. Chopper isn't just a beast, he's a maniac and has one of the highest kill counts of any star wars character, behind only a few, including Anakin and Luke. This inquisitor is actually the grand inquisitor from the kenobi series. The visual differences from animation to live action make it pretty hard to tell haha. Glad you'll be watching all episodes in your free time cause even the filler episodes have important info to the overall story scattered through them. Great reaction, & happy Thanksgiving!

Sinister Maul

In case you were wondering, this takes place 5 years before A New Hope, same time as Andor. Ezra's age will be revealed later, but he is a teenager. Also, the Grand Inquisitor is the same one from the Obi Wan series. Kanan was the same jedi as a young kid at the beginning of the Bad Batch. That's why they used the same voice actor.

This is the first Sabine; you’re thinking of the duchess, Satine

Patrick Reynolds

I love this series, it brings so much more back story to the rise of the rebellion and great new characters. I also love that it uses John Williams original score from A New Hope. By the way, Emme, you met Kanan recently, he just went by another name. Hint, hint.

The Magician

- This series starts 4 years after the Obi Wan series, 5 years before A New Hope, and is around the same time as Andor S1. Each series of Rebels is a year closer to A New Hope. - The inquisitor is the same Grand Inquisitor from the Obi Wan series. - Kanan was the padawan who lost his master and escaped at the start of The Bad Batch. He also appeared as a padawan watching Ahsoka train in Tales of the Jedi.

Josiah

As others have mentioned, Kanan is Caleb Doom: the young Jedi Padawan from Tales of the Jedi; of which we also got a brief glimpse of in season 7 of Clone Wars, when Ashoka walked into a hologram meeting with the Jedi counsel; but most notably, he was the Padawan that escaped from the clones, in premiere of The Bad Batch.

So the thing with the humming, is that it's a sound generally associated with the Force, when you hear it, you can pretty much assume something with the Force is going on. Also, the Inquisitor we saw isn't only just *A* inquisitor, it's supposed to be the same Grand Inquisitor as we saw in Obi-Wan series. Just remember that this came first :)

Mathies

Here's the answer for why the kid in Bad batch had such an old voice actor! it's the same guy as Kanan, and this came first, they kept the VO. Obi wans girl was named Satine, not sabine. They ARE both Mandalorian though so names like that seem to be common in their culture.

Jedi Mandalore (Dylan)

So Rebels takes place simultaneously with Andor both set 5 years before A New Hope. Rebels spans 4/5 years so the show will surpass the events of Andor so who knows maybe Season 2 of Andor will tie more into Rebels highlighting the birth of the Rebellion and Andor joining the greater Rebellion. EP5 of Andor did have a Rebels Easter Egg where the ISB within the ISB meeting room mentioned Rebel events happening on Lothal this being the planet featured in these episodes home to Ezra Bridger. The goal of Rebels is to highlight the fact that there's many different rebellions happening throughout the galaxy all building up to The Rebel Alliance an alliance of many different Rebel groups and cells under a single united faction. In Rebels we follow a single Rebel cell but over time the show will get larger in scale showing the growing support for the rebellion until we get to a point that match's what we see in A New Hope and Rogue One. Rogue One has a few Rebel Easter eggs but I'll not mention them for spoiler reasons. All I can say is in Rogue One you can hear a intercom at Yavin IV mentioning a characters name along with the appearance of a certain Droid in the background in Yavin IV. There's also an appearance of a ship in the background of the Space Battle at the end of Rogue One. You can maybe guess what and who I'm talking about. The Art Style pulls heavily from Ralph McQuarrie's concept art for the original Trilogy and in my opinion Rebels has the most retro sci fi look out of any Star Wars project. Would love to see this done with a higher budget combine the Rebels art style with Disney Plus money would be amazing as this show had a much smaller budget compared to Clone Wars. What I love about this series is how it drew from Star Wars media at the time. For example Season 3 pulled heavily from elements introduced in Rogue One which released like 4 months before the Season in 2016. Of course there's no Sequel connections for timeline reasons but it's cool how Dave and the team pulled from Rogue One while also pulling from the Extended Universe as well. Timeframe: Revenge of the Sith - 19 BBY Bad Batch - 19 BBY Kenobi - 9 BBY Andor - 5 BBY Rebels - 5 BBY to 1 BBY (Seasons move closer to A New Hope) <--------------- Here Rogue One - 0 BBY (Days before A New Hope) A New Hope - 0 BBY

Going from clone wars to rebels can be rough but I think it’s worth it. It’s worth remembering that this was the first piece of Disney Star Wars. Disney laid off a bunch of the clone wars staff, cut their budget in half and gave them less than half the time to make each episode compared to clone wars. Despite this, I think the lucasarts animation team still put out a solid show that i really enjoy.
