hi friends! i hope you all are having a great weekend!

i am preparing my upload schedule for the next month and i need some advice.

this week we will be watching my mandalorian season 1 finale! and in a couple weeks we will also be reaching the finale of the bad batch!

so, i need advice on what to do when both of those things end. i do not want my entire upload schedule to be star wars rebels besides the biweekly marvel movies. while yes, this would help us move through the series faster, i personally need variety in what i watch. i also think it would be better for my youtube channel to keep a variety.

here are the two options i can think of going forward that i need your input on:

the first one is to jump right into season 2 of the mandalorian. i know that you guys have said that season 2 has spoilers for rebels, so this depends on how important this is to you, the viewer. i personally do not have a preference as i have technically gone out of order before (watching the movies before the end of the animated series i've watched), but i know that watching in chronological order is a big appeal that many of you are interested in seeing unfold!

the second option is to start a new series of some sort. previously i've been recommended "the boys" but i also was wondering if there was a marvel series i could potentially watch now without too many spoilers, like i did with moon knight? if you choose this option, then please comment with your recommendation and if it wins we can have another poll with what i watch first! this will stay to 1-2 uploads a week so preferably not something with a large amount of episodes so i can easily get back into the mandalorian when rebels is finished.

i really appreciate y'alls input and support! please remember to be respectful of other people's opinions in the discussion as well! we all have valid thoughts!

i will leave this poll open for this week, and whatever we decide to do next will be put in place next week or the week after.

Yah gotta do Mando all the way through. It's too awesome to wait ❤️

Luke green

You should definitely watch the netflix marvel series starting with daredevil, they are all now on disney+ and no spoilers for the marvel movies

Egg with legs

Daredevil reactions would be so awesome, definitely one of the best Marvel series out there

Matthew Webb

3 series suggestions that come to mind immediately are Umbrella Academy, Death Note, and Breaking Bad.

emmereacts

i have unfortunately (yet fortunately because they're amazing!) seen all of those!

Matthew Webb

Ooh I'm glad!! If I think of any other suggestions, I'll be sure to comment them!

Lucas Chantler

Technically speaking you could watch the first 2 episodes of Mando before you get to the spoiler stuff but I would definitely recommend holding off on the rest until you finish Rebels. As far as Marvel goes all of the main MCU shows would need to be watched way down the line, but there are some Marvel shows that released on Netflix that are now on Disney+ that don’t relate to the main MCU. For example I would definitely recommend watching Daredevil at some point, not only because it’s an incredible show but it’s also been announced that a reboot of the show will be coming out next year

Ken Mazur

I echo the Netflix Marvel shows recommendation, if you're looking to fill time. They stand alone (more or less) from the MCU, but came out and were set after the first Avengers movie. They are also very tonally different than the MCU. With Rebels being only a 30-min watch, it's easier to throw them out. So s3/4 of Rebels congruently with Daredevil will get give you and us some variety, while not offending the timeline release order sensibilities of those so inclined.

The Magician

Emme, I recommend watching Spider-Man 1-3 and Amazing Spider-Man 1-2. You need to see them before starting phase 4 since certain past ‘Marvel’ movies begin to tie in to the MCU. If you don’t want to do that then I think maybe switch things up and watch something completely different to your current work. Doing this could expand your audience and patreon members. Something like Breaking Bad brings in a ton of subscribers from the figures I’ve seen and is for me - the GOAT. Ps Mando 2 will spoil Rebels for you and Rebels also provides further background on what’s happened to Mandalore.

Mason

Have you seen Game of Thrones?

Mathies

I dont think the spoilers are that big. if you wanna watch the Ahsoka show right when it comes out you'll do better to have finished BobF and Mandalorian season 3 by august, which is when Ahsoka is supposed to come out. And that's still 23 episodes to go from here. I would advise jumping into Mando, and while you're halfway through the season you'll be about getting into the meat of the Mandalorian context in Rebels.

emmereacts

this is good to know! i didn't even know that about them!

emmereacts

i will keep that in mind when we finish up phase 3!

emmereacts

i have tried to watch it a few times, i will be honest it wasn't really my thing :(

Lucas Chantler

I should also add that I watched Mando season 2 before seeing Rebels, and I was still able to understand what was going on. If you hop straight in to Mando there will be some parts that will be confusing but you’ll still be able to easily follow the overall story. At the end of the day it just depends on whether or not you can live without Mando for the next few months while you finish Rebels

Culper

We swear that your viewing of Mando season 2 will be skewed because of Rebels spoilers. We highly, highly recommend you wait.... I was going to say watch Agents of Shield, but that has multiple seasons. That used to be a pretty popular reaction back in the day. You could always do Daredevil. If you keep doing 3 episodes of Rebels per week, that's about 12 weeks worth, right? Bad Batch will be ending here soon, so you could potentially do two episodes per week. Thats 24 episodes of whatever show you want to watch. Daredevil Season 1+2 (there are 3 seasons) is 26 episodes. However, the length of them are 2x longer than Bad Batch. They are 40-60 min each episode. The issue right now with Marvel tv shows is just spoilers. If you didn't want to do tv shows, you could always do more movie reactions. Maybe movie series reactions, like the Narnia series or Lord of The Rings Series. We support you you either way.... BUT, all I ask is NOT Mando S2 before finishing Rebels, lol.

Culper

Its just the emotional impact won't be there. There will be more questions than actual emotion, lol.

Vedsång

Daredevil or Jessica Jones, both Marvel from Neflix are really good shows. Agents of shield is also a good option imo.

Lucas Chantler

Are talking about emotion when watching Rebels or Mando? I agree she should probably wait but I’m just saying that in my experience not having seen Rebels didn’t ruin my experience when watching Mando

The Magician

Cobra Kai is another really fun series. It’s a sequel to the original Karate Kid films. I think you’d absolutely love it. It’s really light hearted but with serious moments mixed in. You could even just watch random films. I think diversifying would be so good for the channel.

Matthew Webb

Other series I recommend: Avatar: The Last Airbender, Better Call Saul, and The Haunting of Hill House. Love, Death, and Robots is also great imo, but the episodes are typically on the shorter end if I remember. Plus each episode is about something else.

Alejandro Herrera

Anything but watching season 2 of mando before finishing rebels. I wouldn't mind a few more rebel episodes a week so we can get to season 2 quicker though...

ivan daniel

if you want variety on your channel away from star wars and marvel for a quick moment, ive noticed some very popular quick watches on other channels are usually "Gravity Falls" or "Stranger Things". If you want to follow the trends, the currently popular short watch is "The Last of Us". if you do marvel shows, stick to Daredevil or Jessica Jones and ***for now*** avoid Agents of Shield both for length and clarity with ur current MCU watch since its gearing up to be the show with the most inconsistencies in the canon as of 2023 based on the leaks ive been seeing around.

juan carlos gonzalez martinez

Undoubtedly it is better to see the complete "rebels" series before Mando season 2. And what about seeing double episodes of Rebels?

Ian

Daredevil is amazing! I definitely recommend that if you start a new series

Ben

If it's got to be a Marvel Series, Agents Of Shield. If not, Battlestar Galactica (the original one from the 70s OR the 2000s one)

mordicai knode

I was going to say, what about Power Binging Rebels?

Joel

Breaking Bad

Ben

she's already seen it

Jonathan Cruz

If you want to stick with Marvel related how about Agent Carter. It was only two seasons long and gives you more backstory to Peggy Carter and what life was like for her after losing Steve.

William Hult

I have to agree with watching all of rebels before mandalorian s 2. As for show recommendations, I’d really recommend Netflix’s the sandman which is based on Neil Gaimans legendary comic book series of the same name. There has only been one season released as of now but it really is great. If you’d rather continue on with some more space-western action I’d recommend the show Firefly!

PhillyJ

Based off of things I've heard you say in the past, I think you would be a little bummed to get some things spoiled. But I'm enjoying following along your Star Wars journey and I'll be here either way.

Steve SG-1

Smallville is my favorite series of all time. I think you would like that show but also Stargate SG-1 is pretty great as well. Both are pretty long but you could do what you did with Clone Wars.

Absoluti0n

My vote is for The Last of Us. It's a popular recent show so it should perform well on your channel, it's got more Pedro Pascal which is always a good thing, and most importantly it's just an amazing show.

Allison Kitaguchi

I would recommend a new show simply because the Rebels has such a great ending + payoff, and I'd love for you to keep the suspense. As for a new show, most of the Marvel shows still tie into the MCU. The only ones I can imagine you getting away with are Agent of SHIELD (which is GREAT), Daredevil, SheHulk, or Ms Marvel. Everything else has big tie-ins. The Boys is a fantastic show, but its very raunchy and insanely violent, so if you're not into that, you may want to avoid that one. I think it depends on what genres you're into -- because there's so many amazing shows out there to see, but it'll all depend on your tastes! You could do another poll later on, if that's what you decide to do, and we could all offer some suggestions, and maybe a quick bio/premise so you can choose that way?

Travis Starnes

There are some of the abc marvel shows that wouldn't spoil anything. Also, firefly. It's short and excellent.

This_Jedi_crafts

I think Marvel's Agents of Shield (at leasts season 1) would be a great break (but still have the spirit of Marvel. Just doing a season would be fun. But I agree with others who have suggested SheHulk or Ms. Marvel - both short and sweet with some fun action scenes.

Travis Starnes

Ohh, and don't jump straight into Mando season 2. You'll appreciate it more if you do rebels first.

Thadman

I agree with the people suggesting the Netflix Marvel shows, as they don't spoil anything & are kinda their own thing...that take place in the same universe. But, I'd really love to see you react to Agents of SHIELD (& Agent Carter) which more directly connect to the MCU and I think you might love them. Either of those choices (Netflix or Agents) would be great. Point being, wait to finish Rebels before continuing Mandalorian. I hadn't finished Clone Wars AND Rebels before I watched S2 and I didn't get the impact of a few things. So as a viewer of reactions, I want to see as big an impact as possible. 😊

Brett Butterfield

Tbh you could start any of the marvel shows that originally dropped on Netflix (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist)

Alejandro Herrera

Omg loved Sandman. Don't think it would be a popular reaction series though.

AvatarJordy

I would LOVE to see you react to the Boys. As far as the Netflix marvel shows go, really you only need to watch Daredevil. I would also love to see your reactions to The Last of Us! But mostly The Boys :)

Troopaka

My hero academia! Fun series

Mike Yocom

New series: The Expanse (Season 2 of The Mandalorian is the one with huge, enormous, very big spoilers for Rebels, right up to the end of Rebels.)

Owen Wildish

I'd suggest Classic Doctor Who, it would be a long journey to watch, and a lot of episodes from the 1960s are missing, but I think if you like Star Wars (and perhaps Star Trek), you'll probably like Doctor Who I believe, even if the 60s era of the series is in black & white, though that shouldn't put you off as 60s Doctor Who is still enjoyable to watch especially the best serials of that era (a lot of reaction channels I've seen have fallen in love with that era of the show it seems), also if you ever do decide to watch it. It's best to go in blind and avoid spoilers.

OptionZero

You should definitely finish Rebels before Mando s2, but why not just add another day of Rebels and finish it quicker? If that is not an option, another animated show to consider is The Legend of Vox Machina. It is a fantasy series on Amazon, so it’ll give you a break from Star Wars. The show is an adaptation of a dungeons and dragons campaign played on a twitch/youtube stream for many years. The game was played by a group of a nerdy voice actors who got togethet to play D&D for a birthday party, which became a weekly thing, which became 8 years of doing it on video for fans. There are 2 seasons and 24 episodes available, with a third season coming next year and more to follow. The show is for adults, as it has graphic violence and adult humor, and follows a ragtag group of adventurers making their way across the land seeking…glory? Money? Meaning in life? Redemption

brae

I'd love to see you react to stranger things

汉刚 何

The Expanse is best Sci-Fi show in the last decade I wholeheartedly recommend

Chucknorrass

She started her channel with season 4.

Joits

New Show: The Last of Us. It's also only 9 episodes, she can start another show soon after!

Chucknorrass

I’m just going to throw something out of left field. Lost (2004) is a great show. You will have questions every week. 8.3 IMBD 91 audience score rotten tomatoes.

Ben Hogan

If it's on Disney+ or easily accessible elsewhere I would recommend the Agent Carter series, there are only 2 seasons, season 1 has only 8 episodes and season 2 has 10. A show which in my opinion had too short a life span and is well worth taking a look at.

GlassWalkerJ

Emme do Rebels and Clone Wars then get into Mando. MTFBWY

Jorddi Estrada

You should watch fan tributes about. Anakin life or you could watch Agents Of shield it’s a show made by marvel and it follows shield agents on missions. Also it doesn’t have that much spoilers about the marvel movies some are spoilers are about movies you have seen already.

David D

My votes would be for Firefly (only one season, and a great show) and The Boys. The Boys is different than anything you've watched on the channel, and IMO you should watch shows that you want to watch, but if you're up for it, the writing and acting is really good. You just have to be OK with the graphic violence and dark humor.

汉刚 何

The boys is a great show but be warn, this show is full of violence and sexual image, also the show touch on some of the most sensitive political issue in america

minuteforce

"The Boys" isn't a bad pick if you want a new series to dig into

James Fling

I cannot recommend the show firefly enough. 1 season, plus a movie to watch after. Sci-fi western by Joss Whedon, I think you would love it Emme.

Josiah Smith

I’d say do both? If possible. Definitely “The Last of Us”, to get your dose of Pedro, if not continuing into Mando S2.

Blackavar

I would say Moon Knight was a fluke, most marvel shows should be watched in order. But I would recommend watching Firefly and The Boys

emmereacts

I loved the last of us!! I have already seen it though 🥲

emmereacts

While I’m still finishing up my degree i can’t add another day right now but maybe after! Thanks for your suggestion!

Reverie Requiem

As others have suggested, for a new show I think Firefly or Agents of Shield would be great.

Pand

Agents Of Shield or Firefly would be awesome!

1n5ictus GD

If you’re gonna go down the Marvel route, Daredevil is an amazing show

Harrison Gibson

Ted Lasso. Completely different from anything else you've watched, but it's a wonderfully wholesome and funny show. Avatar the Last Airbender would be a great animated series if you haven't seen it, Dave Filoni actually directed 9 episodes and also worked on it as a character designer and storyboard artist

Peter Miller

Instead of starting another show, you could fit in the Indiana Jones movies, the Star Wars sequel trilogy, and other movies that are on your to do list.

Blackavar

Right!, I can’t believe I forgot to suggest Daredevil myself, it’s possibly my favorite superhero adaptation, like, out of every superhero movie and show, ever, I think it’s my favorite. Plus, the Netflix shows are basically their own continuity, so you can watch them whenever you want

Blackavar

Another vote for Ted Lasso here, such a great show, and the new season is coming out soon too

Harrison Gibson

I wouldn't do the sequels until finishing the current slate of Mando + Rebels (and I would also strongly recommend at least reading a summary of the book Shadow of the Sith), but yeah Indy movies would be good seeing as the 5th movie is about to release.

Rob

Agents of SHIELD! Buffy the Vampire Slayer Daredevil

mordicai knode

Oh random dark horse to add to the list: Twin Peaks!

Lancer2004

Highly recommend The Last of Us, The Good Place, Corbra Kai, and Umbrella Academy
