we are finishing the boys tomorrow! seeing the results of the youtube poll, we will be starting gravity falls! i'm really excited to get into some different stuff with that show, and have some variety!

we are also going to see the last episode of season 1 of ahsoka this week :') i'm so sad for it to end, but really excited for the finale!

loki, and what if will continue as well and then on SATURDAY we have the lord of the rings the two towers reaction! i WILL be watching the extended version, so i'm not positive my editor will have it in time, but i'll keep you all updated on that!

Looks like a great week Emme!

LOTR Saturday!

Ben

Fun fact: LOTR was originally written as one GIANT book, but the publishing company thought that the massive cost would scare people away so they asked Tolkien to split it up into parts. Tolkien hastily added the 3 different titles to the 3 sections. Later he expressed some regret with the names he came up with (especially Two Towers and Return)

I also think its hilarious that his publisher wanted another hobbit book but Tolkien was not interested in that so instead he just loaded the first chunk of the book with sooooo much Hobbit stuff lol.

Ben

"it'll have Hobbits, trust me"

Will you be doing the theatrical or extended LOTR? I highly recommend the extended additions

emmereacts

so i actually decided to keep the theatrical releases for the beginning! 3 hour movies still feel very long for me as a reactor, and i thought it would be best to do theatrical releases first, and then come back and do all extended!

This is honestly the smart move Emme. The original versions are amazing and the ones the whole world fell in love with, not to mention winning a boatload of awards lol. Nothing narratively is missing from them. Extended editions work best for people that are already in love with the world and want to see more nerdy character moments.

I generally agree except for 1 VERY important scene in return of the king extended. There is a scene early on in return of the king extended that should NEVER have been cut from theatrical and leaves a huge plot point completely unresolved. i don't want to specify further because of spoilers but i almost wish someone would make a copy with just that scene put in for reactors lol.
