here is my edited reaction to star wars episode vii: the force awakens!

it was so fun to get back to a star wars movie, and so enjoyable to watch!

Culper (Lukas)

This was the first Star Wars movie I watched in theaters. When Han died, the gasps were loud, lol.

I don't usually like lightsaber fights but I kind of like the ones in this movie because of how scrappy and violent they feel

This trilogy is where things can get REALLY toxic in the Star Wars fandom, especially the last 2 movies. But I think someone like you who’s relatively new to the franchise and not completely blinded by nostalgia will probably enjoy these movies more than most

Matthew Dunham

This movie gets a lot of undeserving hate for some reason. As something who saw the original one in the theater (I was 7) I find a fine homage to the whole series and worthy of Lucas's vision.

I LOVED episode 7...I still think it's among the best 5 movies in the entire saga! Unfortunately I don't feel the same about ep 8... as a movie, it's even better than ep7, but it fails to understand that it is the continuation of the story that began the previous film, taking away depth from Finn, a character we were just introduced to, to give it to Luke. However, I think you're going to totally enjoy episode 8. And now, october 21.... just remember Carrie Fisher in her 67 birthday-

I didn’t mind the force awakens although it has major flaws but 8 and 9 are horrible

Pete Straley

I saw this film 7 times at the cinema when it came out 😅 it's not my favourite Star wars movie but it's perhaps the most fun to watch!

That was a fun watch along, thanks Emme. One thing you mentioned about the referencing of Jedi as myths, I've seen a video that elaborates on how that could be. IIRC, Jedi (force sensitives) are taken at a young age, so locals don't really interact with them. If there is a Jedi that visits its so rare and long between generations that it may seem more like tall-tales than reality. Jedi were concentrated to one planet and in times of peace didn't need to be involved much.

4:01 lol hahahahahahaha!!!!!! And I agree with you about BB-8. In my opinion, he’s the cutest Star Wars character overall and the best part of this trilogy. Grogu is among the top tier, but BB-8 is more obedient and mature. If you listen carefully, you can even hear him beep his own name. The next Star Wars content we’re getting is a new show called Skeleton Crew starring Jude Law. It’s set to premiere this winter.

i rly liked episode 7 alot and its a shame for all what came after it :( episode 8 then was the worst movie i ever watched in my life and episode 9 was a letdown but i blame the fans ... 7 was "to much like the others" for them so they gave us 8 ... i still have ptsd from 8 i was never in a star wars movie again after i watched 8

You think you had it rough? Some of us waited 16 years with zero official Star Wars projects and then what we got was the prequels. If TLJ was the worst movie you had ever seen then you must not have seen many movies ;) Its certainly not my favorite of the 9 movies but plenty of people liked it and it made 4 times its budget back. However you are correct, thanks to whiny fans and bad faith youtubers we got ROS. yay lol
