Jayne is at best rough around the edges. It felt like you got his role in the story early on, but it's always fun watching people grapple with his character arc.

My fav episode. And you might be tired of me bringing this up, but Jayne is perhaps best known for his role in legendary director Stanley Kubrick's dark war film, 'Full Metal Jacket'

Since you are a Star Wars person, this seems a good time to point this out. Mal (Charming Rogue Smuggler Guy with a stripe on his pants) bears a certain resemblance to an iconic Star Wars character. As an homage to Han Solo, there is a small model of Han in carbonite that was sometimes placed on the set while Firefly was filmed. In the Jaynestown episode, behind the bartender in Canton on the top shelf, is the model of Han Solo in carbonite. It is a bit hard to see, so you really have to know it is there and look for it.
