Looking forward to listening! I have heard Dr. Park on Savage Love many times and she’s great.

Loved the episode! Glad as a woman living some pretty sexual active years in sin city Berlin that I knew most of the facts and recommendations but still managed to learn a thing or two.

I want to know what Dr. Park's parents think about her career. Immigrant daughter becomes a doctor! Yay! Doctor Daughter goes on podcasts to talk about sex. hmmm??

Jaz

Great episode!

Definitely one of my favorite episodes, love Dr. Park’s energy! Surprisingly I feel much less fearful of STI’s. Brb gotta go thank my mom for getting me the HPV vaccine when I was a tween.

Well, when I say "I venerate you, Alie!" I think the intention is a bit different than what this episode is communicating (maybe a pun).

I listened to this episode with a mouth full of canker sores and all I could think about was how everyone told me how I had herpes when I was a child because they didn’t know the difference between herpes and canker sores. As always, great work and I’ll listen for my second time on the drive this morning.

Alie, just listening to your calm voice saying the words "penis", "vagina" and "butthole" makes me feel destigmatised 😅🙏

Great informative episode! I’m glad herpes are slowly becoming de-stigmatized. I have the mouth variety and when I first got a cold sore as a teen I didn’t know what it was so my parents took me to the doctor. The doctor was very intense about it and told me I couldn’t ever have oral sex or kiss my baby if I ever had a child. I felt awful and “diseased” after that experience.. but now I LOTS of people have herpes even if they don’t know it and honestly, cold sores hardly impact my life at all 🤷‍♀️

*now I know lots of people have herpes

Such a great episode!! We do 💖 Dr. Park. Total Rock Star. At the end of the pod there may have been a secret about new merch coming. It reminded me to beg for a bookmark and sticker set "I found this merch through Ologies with Alle Ward"

Florence Yuan

great episode! I just wanted to mention that I thought Dr. Park's credentials were introduced in a strange way in the beginning of the episode. it's not mentioned that she's an OB/GYN or where she went to medical school or residency. just want to make sure she's represented properly!

Kimberly

Read her book just a few months ago and loved it! Loved listening to this episode!

So… the crabs in armpit hair. Is that caused by what I think it is? Are people sticking dicks in armpits now? It shouldn’t surprise me I know but it kind of does.

ologies in well-timed action: asked for a whack of STI testing during my annual physical today AND!! my GP was aware of the penis partner treatment method for BV and said that’s typically how she’d treat it (yay!!!) but that lots of doctors are still skeptical about penis transmission despite the evidence (whomp!!!) [note: canada GP, also told me STI testing is standard for PAPs which i didn’t realize]

In french as far as I know we don't have a word for cold sore, we just say 'herpes'. The French may stigmatise lots of things, but not that apparently
