or will it?

Wolf Winter: set on the eastern front of WWI, Russian and German soldiers band together to fight off the packs of wolves that feed on the dead and wounded, becoming bold enough to attack humans with increasing ferocity. Based on a true event but we'll add in WEREWOLVES. Also thought it'd be fun to write dialogue in English only because that happens to be the only language our two MCs have in common.

Undercover Lich:Lich get's sick and tired of adventurers trying to off her, decides to masquerade as a cursed adventurer with a TragicBackstory and go undercover to see what the big deal is. Eventually learns the power of friendship, extreme violence and the realisation that holy fuck she hasnt been "brooding in her lichtower", she's just been DEPRESSED.Bit of the done to death isekai undercover overpowered character schtick but with the added twist that I wont fucking ruin it with video game isekai dumbfuckery.

Both would be amazing, but I must admit I'm partial to depressed Liches.

Tannerbot

It's hard to make a lich sympathetic, but boy, that second one sounds cool.

Happytrooper6

Both Sound cool. The werewolf one sounds grimdark. Would it be less comedic than your usual work?

Jim Sharkey

Like them both, love the second one.

Théo Bertin

The second one looks so promising! Not so much the Isekai part, but the lich's realisation of her depression can bring some terribly funny (and profound) moments!

Martin Lajoie

I'm all for the depressed lich, right in my wheelhouse. Also, I'd love to see an Isekai done well, without the whole videogame crap.

CantFindMyFace

The Lich story idea sounds a bit like the anime Overlord, with a twist, and I am here for it!

Melissa

The WW1 story would be amazing. The power of winter in Russia has been underestimated so often, and it alone would make for a great story. Add in (Were)wolves and you'd have an epic in the making.

Michael H

Fun ideas! The werewolf one reminds me of the JRPG "Operation Darkness" where the Germans are using necromancy and the English are sending werewolves to fight them. Hitler's interest in the occult makes for fun conspiratorial supernatural elements. That or the eastern European werewolf tribes are sick of the land being obliterated by the eastern front, so they attack both sides. Lots of fun World of Darkness opportunities in WW1&2.

Regula

I would like to read a story about that undercover Lich... actually, i wish she would apply for a job with the Watch in Ankh-Morpork

Tim Jones

The lich one sounds like the anime overlord if overlord wasn't absolute bottom-of-the-barrel garbage, sad we likely won't get to see it.

Paul Coley

The lich idea sounds amazing.

Rene

Both sound great but I I had to choose? Winter Wolf.

Sandpirate

Dude undercover lich sounds amazing!
