Dear Citizen-Patrons,

As mentioned in the latest newsletter, we are very lucky to have the chance to work with another skilled 3D VFX artist on a new video topic. We have so many good ideas for what this video might be about, that we need your help to pick one!

We are going to have two rounds of voting - the first, to establish the genre, and a second vote to pick the exact topic.

A quick explanation of the shortlist - we've gone for options that will work as a fairly short, stand-alone video, and we think will work well in 3D (for creative and technical reasons).

Here we go... Poll open until the end of Saturday 7th Dec.

Weapons are so over done by armchair historians and War Thunder fans Learning about the intricacies of topographical maps is just the kind of new area of history soon to be popularized that Epic History is known for, atleast for me

Blagovest Tsvetkov

I vote for Military Topography - Total War-like mock-ups (at similar other historical channels) do a rather ok job at this, but I'm curious how a dedicated effort from a professional VFX artist will turn out at EHTV.

João Lorenzi

that is good to have a lot on military campaigns, but history is way more interesting than too many details on specific moments of battles. history > military details

Abhinaba Mazumder

I vote for option 1. The videos on Victory, and on castle building, are some of my favourites on the channel

Stuart Walker

Also voted for topography. I always find it easy to forget that battles were not seen by commanders from a birdseye top down view, but from ground level. Viewing a famous battle from the perspective of the commanders would be really interesting.

Carl Hyde

This was a very difficult choice; I think that all of them would make for awesome videos! But I'm personally a big fan of the non-military related content that you've done, and would love to see more of it, which is why I voted for Option 2.

Uaid Ez Zahhar

Welp, that's a landslide if I ever seen one. Hurrah for Topography!

MrAH2010

Hurray for topography! Just like Marshal Berthier, unglamourous, but indispensable

Kirk Spinelli

The tech or tactics specific option was tempting but without more specifics I had to default to topography. Feel like it would have to be a great video

At its heart this is a warfare channel, a military history channel, what made us all love this channel was the badass blue rectangles of the Grande Armee disperse Green or White or Red rectangles of the Coalition.
