Dear Patrons,
We're at a quarter-century of newsletters - no better time for a big new video reveal! Let's get straight to it...
Patreon Reveal - The Battle of Valmy
We've kept this top secret until now, but we're delighted to announce that we have a video on the Battle of Valmy on the way - the battle upon which the fate of the French Revolution turned. The best news is, it'll be released here on Patreon in just two weeks!
Until then, a few sneak peaks...
New Soundtrack Releases
Last week we asked you for nominations for our next soundtrack releases. There were dozens of great suggestions, and the winners are a mix of classics and a new favourite:
Napoleonic Wars: Battle of Friedland
The First Crusade
Rise of China Episode 1
For all those in our Lord and Ladies tiers, look out for these on Patreon from next week!
Production Updates
Beyond Valmy, work continues on SIX new series and standalone videos!
The Rise of China
Episode 3 of the Rise of China will premiere here on Patreon next month. This is the most action-packed instalment yet, covering the war with Japan and China's role in World War 2. Some sneak peeks...
Other projects we are working on:
American Revolution Part 3: the next episode will focus on the final, doomed attempts at compromise, the Battle of Bunker Hill, and the arrival of General Washington to take command of the Continental Army.
ULTRA - WW2's Greatest Secret: editing of Part 1 of this four part series is underway. We're delighted to be working again with James Malcolm (Apollo Program, HMS Victory) so this should be a visual feast. I've been in direct communication this week with Bletchley Park and GCHQ. I could tell you more, but...
Also in the pipeline: Spread of Islam, Battle of Verdun in 3D, World War Two Part 1 (1931-34)... and finally, big news for Nelson fans - we are going ahead with the Battle of Copenhagen in 3D! (but much later in the year).
One Cool History Thing
Did anyone know there was a FULL SIZE replica of the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee?! None of us did, until Harry the Editor stumbled across it during his recent tour of the American South. Originally built for Tennessee's Centennial Exposition in 1897, today it's an art gallery, and still the only full size replica in the world...
That's all for this instalment. We'll be back with more updates in a month, and we look forward to bringing you two new videos in the meantime! Thanks as always for your amazing support.
