Hello all,

This is a completely new type of poll and a bit of an experiment, so let's see what happens...

The idea is this: you can propose any topic you like for a future video simply by posting a comment on this thread and telling us what it is, and you can vote for a topic another Patron has proposed by liking it (click ♥️ ).

TWO HOUSE RULES PLEASE:

1. Be brief in your description - you don't need to summarise the whole topic for us, just enough so we clearly understand what it is!

2.  Please read existing posts to see if someone has already proposed your topic, and if so, please ♥️  it rather than create a new post - otherwise it will get very messy, and you'll just end up splitting the vote and making your topic less likely to win!

Of course, feel free to reply to other Patrons' comments to add your thoughts on why (and how) a topic should be covered. This poll is open to ALL Patrons, and runs for several weeks, so hopefully we can get as many ideas and votes in as possible. (Plus it's going to take that long to finish Napoleon).

When the UK government ran an open poll to find a new name for their Arctic research ship, they ended up with Boaty McBoatface. (and then ignored the results). I put my faith in you to chose a great idea, and promise not to ignore the result! (although I may adapt it a little bit), and will be looking on with great interest to see what you guys come up with...

Scramble for Africa would a nice one since it isnt really well covered in western civilization as much as it should be.

Follow up to Alexander the Great series: Wars of the Diadochi

Alind kawa

Spainish civil war beginning of ww2

GAX-447

Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire

Roman Bobal

I would like to see some videos about 16th and 17th century wars. So the interesting one for me would be 30 YEARS WAR.

EpicHistoryTV

I think you will get more votes if you pick only one topic! (you can edit the post)

Maciej Orliński

I'd love to see a topic that's less covered on youtube - 7 years war, 30 years war etc have tons of content already. Maybe both Vietnam Wars (first against the French and the second against the US)? I think it would go well with your recent video about Suez Crisis

Andres Acosta

History of span... I took a history clas about tj0he consice history of Spain and I was facinated by all it glory. From the Celtic and iberian tribes that lived on the iberean peninsula; to the roman conquest, the germanic Visigoths, to the bereber musulim conquest that later brought about the cristian Reconquista. With the victory at Granada the spanish descovered new land and somthe spanish empire was born.

The Dutch Revolt

Andres Acosta

The reconquista is unique in every form in the history of the world and all the great civilization's that ruled over the peninsula trasnformed the peninsula into a pool of cultures, a place where they mixed and coincided.

If this topic wins youcould do it in q format similar to!the Russian history video.

Jason Webb

Hanseatic League. A merchant and military alliance in Northern Europe in the 13 and 14th century. I would love to learn more about it! They tied European cities together when travel and trade were dangerous.

Parker Rydbom

World War II. Done the same way as the World War I Series.

Patrick Gallant

I would love to see a few videos done on one of the best kings that isn't talked about much, King Brian Boru of Ireland. One of the only high kings of Ireland who succeeded in uniting the island to fight the invading Vikings. His story is truly incredible. (Sorry for the length of this, just trying to sell my idea!)

Ivar Kvam

Many great ideas! I would like to suggest a video on the MUGHAL EMPIRE (something similair to the russian videos)

Arturo Rojas

The History of the Mongol Empire, from it’s creation by Genghis Khan, to it’s greates expansion and later fracture under Kublai Khan

Mohammed Alsaadoon

I'm resubmitting one of the choices in an earlier poll: Iran-Iraq War

Edwin Kaburu

The Finnish Civil War was a conflict for the leadership and control of Finland, although it would be great if you look back at the crusades series started a year ago, I don't think you finished and analyzed it.

Robert Fumo

The US war for independence or the US civil war. OR BOTH!

Jordan Dunegan

The Finnish Winter War and/or the Continuation War as they are both under represented in WW2 histories.

Christopher

The roman conquest of Macedonia!! Since you gave us a teaser on the Alexander the great series.

Peter Klimo

I think the Peloponnesian War would be an interesting topic because while there are many videos about Alexander the Great, the Punic wars and the Roman civil wars of the first century BC, there is very few content about the Peloponnesian war which was arguably the world war of the Hellenic world and believe me it has everything, betrayal, drama, blood, you name it!

Jon Hesketh

100 years war! Crecy, Poitiers, Agincourt so many options

Rori Z

the warsaw ghetto uprising! a small resistance group managed to hold off the germany empire for almost as long as france lasted, with less arms or allied support

Jeff Hanevich

The Servile Wars (mainly the Third Servile War) would be a great topic for an episode. I also think that there is room for more videos on the Punic Wars even though Peter mentioned otherwise ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Kit Kee

I'd like to suggest the Three Kingdoms era of China. There's a lot of media on it but the romantic nature of its portrayal makes it hard to get to the actual history of the period and its actors.

Xavier Urruchi

I would like to propose a series of videos on the less known conflicts and wars. such as the invasion of Spain by the mores and their expulsion later on. Or the Falkland islands war in recent years.

Yannis Linardos

Unification of Germany. I mean the one in 1800s with Prussia and Bismark. Not the East-West Germany unification of the 1990s, although this could be good too.

Javier

Prelude to the rise of the Islamic Empire, the wars between the Roman (Byzantine) Empire and the Persian Empire etc.

Mike

Carolingian Civil War that lead to creation of East Francia, a country that later became kingdom of Germany.

Mike

Polish-Soviet war (1919-1921) and Battle of Warsaw, a battle won against all the odds by outnumbered Poles who just reclaimed independence a year+ before.

Mike

War of the Holy League (1683-1699), a series of conflicts between the Ottoman Empire and the Holy League consisting of the Habsburg Empire, Poland-Lithuania, Venice and Russia. The Ottoman Empire lost large amounts of territory and it marked the first time Russia was involved in a western European alliance.

Mike

Republic of Venice (697–1797) a sovereign state, maritime republic in northeastern Italy. Leading European economic and trading power during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

Mike

Especially about Alcibiades and Sicilian Expedition that ended up with entire Athenian expeditionary force killed, captured or sold into slavery.

Mike

Focusing heavily on military tactics, Roman superiority over Macedonian elite forces would be nice!

Mike

Finnish superiority over Soviets in aspects like military tactics and logistics is really interesting

Mike

Khazaria, one of the foremost trading emporia of the medieval world, commanding the western marches of the Silk Road and playing a key commercial role as a crossroad between China, the Middle East and Kievan Rus

Adam T Guy

Anson's circumnavigation and capture of the Manila galleon

Noah

National history, like you did with Russia, Sweden maybe?

Bert Schulzki

Romes Civil Wars (beyond Caesar and Augustus), like: * Rise of Vespasian, Year of the 4 Emperors including the Batavian revolt * Rise (and Fall) of Marius and Sulla

Seamus Clarke

Could you do the English Civil War (1642–1651)?
