Here's the (work-in-progress) intro from the Invasion of Russia video to get you in the mood.

Part one of this trilogy will cover, inter alia, the reasons for war, the composition of Napoleon's army, Cossacks, 'the Smolensk Manoeuvre' and the Russian decision to fight at Borodino. (The battle itself will be part two, and the retreat is part three).

Charles Nove (our narrator) has lost his voice! Fingers crossed he will recover soon, and this video should be available for Patreon early access before the end of the week.

(I am also praying that this Vimeo video embed goes more smoothly than last time).

Thank you again for your support, more news soon.

The Vimeo link works....well done sir! I shall sacrifice 100 wolves to the heathen gods so that Mr. Nove regains his voice!

EpicHistoryTV

I shall let him know! I'm sure Charles would approve.

This is gonna be good

Hi Toby! Thank You very much for this latest update! I was anxious to hear about this New Episode! Besides, I wish mr. Charles Nove may have a good and speedy recovery!

Lluis Planas

I'm eager to finally reach the Russian invasion! Take your time, it will be worth waiting for Charles Nove voice!

Eiko Streitz

I'm so exited for those next videos 🤪

Once you finish Napoleon, what will you focus on? How about Bolivar and American civil war? Bolivar and South American independence wars are never covered, and civil war is similar time period to Napoleon (which you have the best series on youtube or any other platform)

EpicHistoryTV

Thank you! It's an interesting idea. Towards the end of the series, I'll be encouraging people to put forward suggestions for the next topic - I'll create a shortlist, then we'll vote.

Gabriel Cormier Labrecque

Are you thinking of going back to do Marengo, the Egypt campaign or the italian campaign of 1796-97?

EpicHistoryTV

Hi Gabriel. Not at the moment, my hunch is that it's time to move on to other topics when I finish the current series. I could return to it later, or if there's enough support it could be an option in the Patreon vote at the end of this series.

Richard Fernandes

Hi Toby! After this Series, I would like if You may consider as a Subject option, to do a Video about The Crimea War, The Franco- Austrian War of 1859 and the Franco-Prussian War of 1870.

EpicHistoryTV

Hi Richard. Thanks for your suggestions, all good ideas. We'll have a separate post and vote at the end of the series to decide what's next.

Richard Fernandes

Thank You Toby. By the way: How is Charles Nove's Voice Recovery?

EpicHistoryTV

A little bit croaky! But we recorded the new video and early access will be available very soon.

Richard Fernandes

Okey. Thank You for the New video! Quality as always! And otherwise, I wish to Charles Nove a healthy recovery. His Narrations are delightful to our ears.
