Dear Patrons, 

This week I'm putting the finishing touches on the new Russian Revolution video. It has less maps than usual but a lot more archive film and photographs, and I hope you'll find it interesting. 

And then... you decide!

The four choices this time are:

1. Russia Part 3 - the next installment in our complete history of Russia will take us into the 19th century, which means Napoleon's invasion (and retreat), a Crimean War and emancipation of the serfs.

2. The Black Death - at the height of the Middle Ages, a disease wiped out almost half the population of Europe and transformed society - and its creeping, miasmic spread along trade routes will look great on a map.

3. Alexander the Great - the world's greatest conqueror? This will be at 2-part project following the Macedonian king's heavily-armed world tour from the Bosphorus to the Indus, and part of the way back again. 

4. Presidents of America - you'll have noticed there's a presidential race coming up, and I want to create a unique short video guide to past American presidents, from Washington to Obama.
