coloring tutorial, part 1 (Patreon)

i've been working on a coloring tutorial during my free time because i've been asked a lot.
it turned out unnecessarily long, so i guess i'm going to be splitting it into 3 parts:

part 1: what is color
part 2: color identity and diffuse interreflection (ie. Picking Base Colors)
part 3: occlusion and luminosity (ie. Shading and Lighting)

part 1 is probably a disappointing primer, but i do feel like it's essential to talk about when i talk about how i make art. what can i say? i don't have a natural eye for color.
