This one is for all the true crime junkies out there. Somehow, we ended up with a thrilling episode of Just Trish Investigates: A True Crime Saga. First, Chris Olsen calls out criminals for illegally sharing explicit photos of him. Next, Trisha reacts to Gypsy Rose going viral yet again--this time for photos of her mother's crime scene being released to the public. Then, we discuss the chilling Idaho 4 murders. Note that I definitely am a little sleep deprived, so some facts in that case are wrong...but a lot is also right!! Anyways, Trisha said today that she ended up getting nightmares after this true crime-themed episode, so it probably won't happen again!

I go back and forth on Gypsy rose. Her mom was threatening to make her incapable due to cognitive delay she said Gypsy had (doesn’t have) I think in past when she ran away she told authorities she had the brain of an 8byear old. And with all the documentation of her medical history might be easy for her to convince a judge to make her incapable (like Britney Spears) however on the other hand apparently Gypsy hadn’t been to the doctor in 4ish years, and her mother was actually becoming more sick, tired and frail- the relationship was almost flipping and Gypsy’s mom was probably starting to demand Gypsy to manage things for her and take care of her …. not sure what to think

Hmm well psychiatry is still a new and under developed science. "Bpd" is just learned behavior and the diagnosis doesn't correlate to a proper treatment (yet) so the label does nothing but control an already weak group of people, according to some studies it actually prevents some people from getting treatment. They say its incurable but its actually not something you have to live with. Why search for labels before searching for helpful ways to grow. Never understood why people are so obsessed with collecting labels like accessories. Just strive for your own personal best and let the rest be noise. My two cents - from someone who has been researching this for almost 10 years.

I’m still a supporter of Gypsy. I believe in reformation, and she has truly transformed. I hope she continues to use her platform as an advocate. I think the inconsistencies in her story are giving Clinton finding inconsistencies in Brooke’s story. Her mom gave her sugar one time in public. Doesn’t mean she wasn’t restricted at home. Gypsy was mentally ill and not mentally matured to her age bc of the abuse. I think she deserves some grace, but agree the influencerification is a little weird.

So I actually work at a police department dealing with the public release of footage and photos typically anything involving a dead body is not to be released to the public under any circumstances the only time in which that happens is if it’s the family requesting the photos/footage of the deceased and they sign an agreement saying they’re not going to post any of What is being released online. While everything is technically public record, there are some aspects that cannot be released publicly and must be redacted if some random person wanted pictures of a dead body they’re not getting it period

I will say for the Gypsy case. When she tried to run away, her mom found her and chained her the her bed for weeks. She could only get up to use the restroom. And even SHE thought she was younger than she was because her mom told her so. She was being very brutally abused and her mind wasn’t that of a 24 year old. Of course I’m not saying that was the best option but I’m sure her warped mind and the persuasion of a man she thought she loved caused her to go through with it.
