100% wait until after for your dental work. Most likely they won't have appointment availability until after anyways. . Generally speaking it's tolerable after, however, there is in increased risk of infection and "dry socket". Dry socket can be extremely painful and the singing could increase the chances of one developing (usually the instructions are no smoking ow straws due to the suction but rapid inspiration during song could cause this as well. Medical professional here- just my take.

Also, if you're dentist does suggest a root canal (could possibly be just a filling. Won't know until this upcoming appointment), just be aware research has shown that root canals are associated with higher incidences of heart disease. Extraction and implant are more expensive but is an alternative to a root canal.

Hope you see this Trish! You’ll be totally fine after your root canal. I had one done two years ago and didn’t feel anything while it was getting done. My mouth was just numb for a couple hours but no pain and no recovery time. I was able to eat fine later that day!
