I have watched Trisha since 2011, I have been here for everything. I love Trisha, I know she isn’t political and jokes about traumatic things, but this isn’t trauma in the way you’re depicting it, national trauma is not the same as personal.

I totally get where you are coming from, but also, Trish makes it a point to never speak on politics because she knows she's coming from a place of ignorance. I think asking her to learn more, especially in this political climate, is fair. And she is open to learning. But I think you should rein your expectations on political talk and this podcast in particular. Is it privilege to ignore politics? Yes. Has it been addressed many times? Also yes. You can express your frustration, and even ask Trish for better, but it doesn't do you any good to come with this attitude.

5 people died and many were injured during the Jan 6 insurrection btw. You don't have to force yourself to care...but it was a pretty big deal in American history. No one has ever tried to overturn an election like that ever ever. And importantly, all the people who did that are being released with their convictions wiped since he's becoming President...so yeah. It's important.

I don’t think it is that big of a deal that you are making it because they didn’t really talk about it for that long and to me they are not making it fun or quirky just because they are laughing everyone reacts to things differently and they are always lighthearted when they are talking about things on this podcast. Trish didn’t know what happened so they just explained to her what happened and then they moved on. Trish is not a political figure that you go to for political news so they won’t talk about things the same way that the actual political figures do. Anyone tell me if I’m wrong and enlighten me

I understand Trish choosing not to speak on politics because she knows she’s not educated on the topic but damn, literally saw the thumbnail and was like oh maybe if she actually watches these people climb the walls of the capital, assault police offers (some of whom end up dying) etc, she’ll understand a little more about why some of us care so much 🙃

She's said before she doesn't watch the news. I don't either. The news is depressing, always tragic events happening. It makes me angry and more depressed than I already am which is why I don't watch the news. And probably the reason that other people who don't watch the news don't watch it. I know a couple guards d!ed. But most of the de@ths were the psycho alt-right conservative Trumpers. They will not be missed. They f'd around and found out. If they weren't trying to overthrow the government they would be alive. So that's on them and that's their fault. Trump wants to ban human rights. So the people who d!ed supported that. Growing up my grandma took care of me and my 2 siblings and she couldn’t afford Uggs so I always got just regular boots from Kohl’s and certain kids at school used to torture me and make fun of my “fuggs” I was so embarrassed to even wear them to school. Buying my first pair of Uggs in my early 20s felt like such a huge accomplishment I was so proud of them and took such good care of them. Now at 26 I have zero interest in Uggs or name brand and it honestly hurts to see kids today so attached to brands like when I was younger. I just hope kids who’s parents don’t have it understand that it gets better and to never value yourself by what you own but rather who you are as a person ❤️

January 6th, a bunch of terrorist stormed the Capitol after being encouraged by Trump. I think 5 people died, but at least 3 and a bunch of people were injured.

I was just fact checking, it’s very mixed because a lot of people there died within two days of the attack, but some were not directly related. I think 3 people died due to reasons directly related to the riot, 3-4 more people who were there died due to unrelated causes but within 48 hours (OD & natural death whatever that means), and then 3 police officers who were there commit suicide within 7 months of the attack. But obviously they can’t say the suicides are a result of ptsd or something from the riot. So who knows if the riot played a part in their deaths. And if the terrorists were brown, we’d know all of this.
