I have Titanium rods in my spine due to an injury. My advise to Oscar is to lay in your left side with a minimal pillow under your head , bend both knees slightly and place a more substantial sized pillow between your knees . AVOID surgery at all cost!!!!!! Have your physical therapist teach you proper body mechanics for sitting / standing / bending etc .. and remain mindful of how you move your body . If your physician will agree - ask if they will give you a steroid pack in an attempt to resolve your back pain . Rest is so imperative for healing. It takes time so never rush into surgery .

Yes Moses ! Parenting is being present and creating a safe environment for our children so that they are safe and successful . My daughter took a sharpie to my stone fireplace when she was 3 .. and it was COMPLETELY our fault for leaving a permanent marker where she could access it ! Note : we were NEVER able to fully remove those markings .. and when we moved almost a decade later, i absolutely cried when I saw that fireplace for the last time!

hi, European girlie here 😊👏🏻 I was raised in a household where me and my sister were taking baths together, and where my mom was comfortable with walking naked around us. But never my father. And I don't know a family, where parents are comfortable about nudity with children of opposite sex. Father's and sons, and mother's and daughters only. And in my case, it was going on until I told my mom and sister that I want to shower by myself. And It was natural. I never given it any though until now to be honest, so I guess it was not traumatic at all 😬 And most of my perse have the same experience. So yes, nudity can be normal, as long as you are comfortable with it 🧡

And now when I think about it..I was aware about female body and how it looks when you are mature from early age, so I knew what to expect. I knew that I was going to have pubic hair, and I was going to have boobs. But I also knew that I was going to be beautiful and confident. i will say me and my younger brother and sisters always had to bathe together till like 7 yrs probably was more or so to save money but my mom definitely never hid her body around me but i would die& GAG if my dad was as open. i think mom to daughter can be helpful to understand your body & not feel so weird once puberty hits .

nudity is not sexualized in europe, so i dont see anything wrong with them doing it. but nudity is absolutely sexualized in america, so it’s not as comfortable for us. there’s nuance to everything but i think in the context of america, it is definitely harder and more difficult to normalize

my bf is from denmark and he had a similar experience, except he was not restricted to only seeing his dad naked. but once he got older and wanted privacy, he just asked for it and there were no issues. i think it’s good to not be so averse to the human body at any age, but it’s just not really a thing here in america

my family is french american and i grew up with the women in our family (5 aunts and like 18 female cousins) not caring about being naked/trying on a new dress in front of everyone. i don’t know if ill let my kids be THAT open but i def dont want to make it a ginormous deal if they were to catch me naked so it doesn’t become a bad thing. such a tough topic!!!

trish, I really appreciated your commentary at the 50 minute mark about drastic appearance changes, especially in young children. I grew up in an Italian Jewish family, and my mom had a ski slope nose. I always expressed insecurity about my nose, not looking the same as hers and she encouraged a nose job, stating it may be under insurance. This severely damaged my self-esteem for years and it wasn’t until I was in my mid 20s that I finally got past it. you and Moses have such an impact on your daughters and it really gives me hope to hear you guys speak with such acceptance.

Yeah the nudity thing, I think it’s called being body neutral, my mom was like this and still is. My dad was, when I was very young but not now, nor I w him, haha. I used to love Dax Shepherds podcast, I appreciated how he talked about his emotions and trauma as a man. I am also sober and so is Dax, but I realized they just talked about being leftist, feminist types but weren’t actually those things. They lost me at the Kim Kardashians episode when they pretty much just kissed her ass and said they didn’t get why she got any criticism, particularly about perpetuating toxic body standards. And then the JVN episode happened, where Dax just used right wing talking points to “play” devils advocate as if it’s their job to teach Dax. Anyways, the point is, they are just your usual, wealthy, celebrities pretending to be something they are not solely for keeping half their audience. Go ahead and have different beliefs but don’t say one thing and then do the other.
