I think we can like chapel and hold her accountable. People are looking at her to talk about politics bc she’s been outspoken about it all up until now. People expect her to talk about things because she gave us that expectation. I’m not saying anyone should rely on her for news or information, but I think people felt like she was such an ally and then just kind of stopped being so vocal.

I love Chappell but when I see the way Doechii responds, it doesn't make me feel great about it. Doechii does press, handles the same type of fame/doing all the same things Chappell complained about all while being a gay, black artist and continuing to speaking about politics, but also placing boundaries and respecting herself. Just want to say that making an excuse for Chappell is ridiculous. A White queer woman who is rich has a lot of privileged, mind you this is the same person who dressed up as lady liberty. Not saying that one costume defines her as a spoke person but White woman want to ride the backs of activists and lgbtq people to get to the top then once at the top she wants to separate what made her famous. people look to her as someone who prides herself as someone who supports a marginalized community then when those same people look for her support she wants to act confused and say I can’t know everything.
