I'm Aussie (with an English parent), me & my ex dated for 6yrs & from day dot split everything evenly, even when we lived together - We had a system that worked for us, & I actually preferred to always pay for our own share, cuz I came from a home with parents that constantly argued over money, & we never had any fights or issues around financial stuff in the relationship... I honestly think it's healthier to avoid people getting resentful ♥️ Again, just as long as it's done in a way that doesn't become cumbersome though... Obviously if it was causing a nuisance (if people didn't have a system that worked for them etc) than that's a different story ♥️

why wouldn't she simply have a conversation with him?? the people i've met in places like copenhagen, amsterdam, berlin, etc have ALL acted this way, they make you split a €1.90 coffee. it's literally just cultural, and a simple conversation about it would probably solve a lot of these problems.
