I’m concerned. If you’re old enough to menstruate, you’re old enough to know what reproduction is so you can ensure you DO NOT DO IT. This is how little girls get violated and raped by family members. in California public school children learn Accelerated Growth Education in 4th and 5th grade. That’s 9 and 10! 11 is a normal age to know about reproduction.

And then to share it on the podcast?! Like, yes she's 11 so she is in maybe 7th grade and probably knows what eggs are. But she wasn't even asking about her eggs. I can't think of a reason why you would talk to an 11 year old about freezing their eggs unless they have cancer and you need to do it before treatment.

I agree with a lot of this but reproduction education is normal for middle school. I knew kids having sex in middle school. At 14, I was having sex. I hope my kids don’t do it that young but if they do, I need them to be safe and understand. But I will not be telling my daughter about freezing eggs at 11 that’s wild.

Same. I learned about the eggs and what a period is in 6th grade. I knew about safe sex around then too. I’m glad I did. In 8th grade my peers were having sex. At 14 I was a freshman and I was having sex. I would have done it even if I didn’t know about protection. But I knew. So I used protection. Education is sooooo important.
