Girl I’m a retired icu nurse and trust me a male doctor had NOTHING on me OR any / all of my female counterparts. Male doctors are statically less successful as far as medical outcomes post operatively. The things you said were not only gross and inaccurate but also highly offensive and harmful. the lack of sociological understanding in these comments is a hard read. she is openly expressing a sentiment that i know for a fact is extremely common. if anyone reads this, understand that medical school can take more than 10 years. and women did not have this privilege or ability to even have stable pregnancies after that long in the 20th century. it’s ENGRAINED in many people that women “shouldn’t / can’t be” doctors because THERE WAS NO REPRESENTATION. women are the best doctors. the patriarchy will try to suppress that as long as they can.

i was SO sick for so long (like years of excruciating pain) my male doctor brushed it off and told me “at least you aren’t fat” when i was concerned about my unexplained weight loss. mind you i’m 5’11 and was 160lbs so i wasnt even considered overweight for my height. i swapped to a woman nurse practitioner who figured it out and got me in for surgery in 6 months. it was a serious issue, and the only help i got were from the women doctors and nurses. all the male doctors and nurses (except for literally ONE) were awful to me.

There's been good and increasing representation for decades. (25 - 40 % of active physicians the last 25 years). She's a great, informed and loved supporter of the LGBTQ-community. It's sad and surprising that she seems so out of touch when it comes to women vs men.

Trisha noo 🫤 I love you but the doctor conversation was a hard watch as a longgg time fan (especially of all the growth you’ve made!!) So many women including myself have to fight years, if not decades, to self advocate for our health because if not we get dismissed symptoms or delayed diagnosis. I would pick my doctor a MILLION times over a man any day because all it took was my first visit for her to truly listen to me and get me the help and tests I needed. idk maybe im getting too heated but I hope you can reflect!

Dismissing these comments due to a lack of “sociological understanding” is objectively crazy and frankly very ignorant. I grew up in the south and my family is primarily made up of female doctors going back 3 generations. Although there was a point in time where there wasn’t a lot of female representation in the medical field, that is 1000% not the case in today’s world. The time you’re speaking of is like, the 1980s. Justifying and defending Trishas comments like this actually does more harm than good tbh. We should be able to hold other women accountable when they’re being misogynistic and ignorant. I’m a long time watcher, and I’m a current optometry student & soon to be eye doctor. It’s super disheartening to hear what you have to say about women in the medical field and cringing at the thought of women being doctors. For someone who seems to be such a man-hater, it’s weird to me that you’ll praise men in the medical field for being smarter or better at their job. What makes you think they’re smarter or better? I and countless other women would not be in the position we are in today without having extensive knowledge, grit, and passion. I have worked so hard to get to this point in my academic and doctoral career. I love this podcast, but this was incredibly hurtful to hear. Not to mention that I will always choose a female doctor over a male one.

My home town is the town Coeur d’Alene, Idaho that the Kar/Jenners Biebers and Jacob Elordi visited. They all stay at Gozzer Ranch which is a private property across the lake. Kendall, Kim and Kourtney all have homes at Gozzer and have been going for over 10 years. Its pretty wild but Coeur d’Alene is so beautiful, very similar to Lake Tahoe.
