Ultimate Spider-Man Magazine - Story 17+18 (Patreon)

 Two more Spidey short stories written for Ultimate Spider-Man Magazine, published in the UK and Europe in a bunch of different languages. 

These stories use the continuity from the popular Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors cartoon.

The first story has Peter Parker and Miles Morales battling Arnim Zola. This was my first chance to write Miles (I'd write him again in Thunderbolts #5 for our Civil War II tie-in issue) and was a ton of fun. The second story is Spidey and Cloak & Dagger versus the Absorbing Man.

Each of these stories had to be a complete Spidey tale told in 11 pages, but the first page was almost always a flash forward moment, so I really only had 10 pages to introduce a problem, bring in Spidey action, and then wrap it up in a satisfying way. Working on these self-contained stories taught me a lot about making every panel count.
