Ultimate Spider-Man Magazine - Story 19+20 (Patreon)

Here are the final two Spidey short stories written for Ultimate Spider-Man Magazine, published in the UK and Europe in a bunch of different languages. 

These stories use the continuity from the popular Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors cartoon.

The first story has Spidey and Falcon fighting the Vulture (who is an angsty teen in the cartoon continuity). The second story is Spidey and Iron Man versus the M.O.D.O.K.

Each of these stories had to be a complete Spidey tale told in 11 pages, but the first page was almost always a flash forward moment, so I really only had 10 pages to introduce a problem, bring in Spidey action, and then wrap it up in a satisfying way. Working on these self-contained stories taught me a lot about making every panel count.

Normally each story required an approved plot, but with 19 previous stories already approved I shot from the hip and scripted the final one without a full outline (I just pitched the story in a few sentences to the editor in an email). Thankfully it was also approved.
