Conan-Red Sonja #2 - Full Script (co-written with Gail Simone) (Patreon)

The second issue of our Hyborean epic. We jump ahead to the second of three 'eras' for these characters, this time in their prime. Opening the story with Conan the Swashbuckler on the Tigress, Belit's pirate ship, and bringing Sonja, Belit, and Annisia all together was tons of fun.

Co-writing a script can take on many different forms. On a project like Freelance I did the story breakdown with Andrew Wheeler and then he scripted it, with me coming in again to polish the dialogue at the end. On Rick and Morty VS Dungeons & Dragons, Pat and I broke down the story, then he wrote reams of dialogue and I incorporated as much of it as I could into the script. On Avengers: No Surrender, Mark Waid, Al Ewing and I all wrote select scenes, then we stitched it all together and made edits. Every project is a bit different.

On Conan-Red Sonja we did it "tennis match" style, with an overall pacing plan to start and then each writer writing a chunk before emailing it back so the other writer could do the next part, building on the momentum as we went. This time I started things off:
