A bunch of new patrons have come on board thanks to Gail Simone's #ComicsSchool hashtag on Twitter. I deeply appreciate the support.

I recommend that you dig deep into the archives here on my Patreon site, if you haven't already. There are over 230 full scripts along with pitches, pacing notes, and other documents related to comic writing for you to peruse and learn from at your leisure.

On my main website I also have 40+ free tutorial articles on writing technique, pitching, the economics of comics, and a pair of FAQ posts with over 100 commonly-asked questions answered (HERE and HERE).

If you don't find the information you're looking for there, don't hesitate to send a message and ask me directly. If it's a subject the rest of my patrons can learn from I may even put together a full post about it.

Thanks Jim! I wanted to ask you... do you know of a good book or guide on how to transcribe a screenplay into comic book form? Thank you!

Jim Zub

Hi Jeremy, thanks for the support. I don't have a specific guide I can point you to for that advice, but learning the strengths of comic book storytelling and sequential narrative as a whole will help a lot in determining which scenes translate directly to the comic page and which ones would need to be altered to be effective as comics.
