In this new video I do a deep dive on the story for the Suicide Squad: Amanda Waller one-shot special I wrote that was published in 2014. I go through the working process of coming up with the story, the importance of research, theme, pitching, pacing, scripting, and more.

For my patrons, here's an older post in my archives with the pitch and script you can download for your reference as well: https://www.patreon.com/posts/suicide-squad-6087065

I hope you find the video and documents helpful in your own working process.

As always, feel free to ask me questions here.

I'd been looking for break downs like this for a while. I'm a process guy so I like to see how creatives break the process down and put it together. You've been one of my favourite authors for a while, so I have no idea how I didn't know you where putting these out! I enjoy seeing the pacing break down. That's something I'd been playing with and I did something similar but this really solidified the process for me. Thanks for doing these.
