If you're here contributing to my Patreon then I'm sure you've heard that I'm launching a new creator-owned comic at Image called Glitterbomb.

Issue #1 hits stores September 7th and all of us on the team are excited for people to read our opening chapter. $10 Patreon supporters here already checked out the full first issue but, for everyone else at $3+, here's a special post: The Glitterbomb one page pitch and sample pages I showed to Eric Stephenson (Image Publisher) to get the green light on the series and the full first issue script I sent to Djibril and Kurt so they could rock out the artwork.

If you want more details on Glitterbomb, here's the landing page on my site for solicits, advance reviews, and interviews:

I'm always a bit nervous with any new project launch and this one, darker subject matter and a genre I'm not known for, has me even more on edge, but I consider that a good sign. Trying new things and pushing myself is the only way I can find out what I'm capable of.

I hope you enjoy this new creator-owned journey.

Fantastic insight, thank you for sharing. Quick question, I didn't notice the format of the book (mini-series) acknowledged in the pitch. At what part in the process was that decided? Thanks!

Jim Zub

Glitterbomb is my third Image project so I was confident that if the pitch was given the go ahead I could discuss the format and release schedule at that time. For someone trying to break in with a publisher for the first time I'd recommend including the format in the pitch as well.
