Star Periphery's first anniversary! (Patreon)
Content
Hello, dearest friends!
Today is the day! Exactly one year ago, I published the Release 1 of the game. And since we are also nearing the end of the year, I think it is a great time to have a very special update about the future of Star Periphery!
But first, please allow me to thank you all for your continued interest and absolutely fantastic support of the game. You are all amazing! As a little thank you, enjoy a spicy version of the picture above:
The following year will be a very important one for Star Periphery. That is due to two major reasons. Let's go over them!
Finishing the Part 1:
As some of you know, SP will have three parts (or chapters or acts, as you prefer!), each marked with significant turning points in the main story. With work on Release 5 continuing according to plan, I plan to spend the next year trying to get as close as possible to finishing Part 1.
The best way to illustrate this is by using a picture. So, here is the road plan!
From above, you can see what you can roughly expect in each release. Please be aware that the road plan only lists the main content for each release. Side content or side characters are not listed. I'm also not listing any content that could be considered a spoiler!
Tech-related updates:
2024 will also be a year when I would like to implement an entirely new UI to the game. The current UI is sufficient, but it is nowhere near what will be needed for the future journey. The new UI will offer more functionality, look better, and, most importantly, prepare the game for Part 2. What does that mean? For starters, a dedicated inventory screen, codex screen (for the information about acquaintances, aliens, places, tech, etc.), and screen for skills & perks.
Let me show you the very early alpha version of the inventory screen:
Keep in mind that this is still a very raw work in progress, but I think it illustrates what is coming fairly well!
Next year will also be one year where I plan to finish the main cast's models. This means the long-time coming texture rework, which will bring greater detail for each of the ladies. From better muscle maps to breast veins, much is coming!
Finally, as many of you have been asking, I will be initiating the process of putting Star Periphery on other platforms, most notably Steam!
About Part 2:
Now, I have been talking about Part 2 for a while, but what can you actually expect from it? I am happy you asked!
First and foremost, Part 2 will be a moment when the game opens up quite a bit. Boarding the Despina, the game will switch from mainly being situated around PS-10 to traveling all around the galaxy. You will continue your apprenticeship on the colossal cargo hauler, working closely (and developing relationships!) with the main cast. You will also meet the rest of the crew (some of them potentially to quite a depth!). Together, you'll land on countless planets, visit numerous space stations, and see untold stellar wonders! But enough talking, let me show you a little bit!
Simply put, you'll visit quite idyllic places:
Places that are great for adventure:
And, of course, places of pleasure:
And much, much more. Including some genuinely alien places!
Each location will be explorable to a degree, containing many side characters for both adventurous and erotic encounters. Part 2 will be a lot more exotic, both regarding the environments and people you'll meet. If you have been waiting for those strange alien lovesticks, you can look forward to Part 2!
Bonus for reading through all that:
And finally, to celebrate the end of the year, here are SP's own wallpapers! They are available in both 4K and 1080:
You can download full-resolution pictures from my album here.
That is for today! I hope you enjoyed this special, and I wish you all the best in the New Year! There is so much to come for Star Periphery, and I can't wait to show it to you!
Cheers friends,
VoidPilgrim.
