Hey everyone!

We got a double drop today because the end of Feb snuck up on me with how short it is. So here's the flexi community suggestions winner, the t-rex! So many of y'all have been asking for dino flexis for ages and honestly they've very much intimidated me. But I finally felt ready to give it a go and after MUCH testing to get this big guy balanced, I'm really happy with him!

Filament is Numakers light gray and hand painted. Multicolor Bambu 3MF files included and keychain and non-keychain versions of the baby

Print recs:

2-3 walls

5-15% infill

No supports

Add brim if needed

The big t-rex's legs slot into his hips slightly to help him stand stable, so some pretty up should secure him.

I hope y'all like them!

Thanks so much for all your support <3

My son is going to love this one, great job!!

Michelle

Nice!! What kind of paints and how well does the paint hold up?

Tonia Kowalczyk

I knew yours will be the best ❤️❤️❤️ Love them! ❤️❤️

J K

Wow. This is EPIC.

Kekreations 3D

Thanks!! These are just basic craft acrylics that have been watered down :) They hold up well for display but not necessarily excessive handling.

Funk Of Pops

Wow this has to be my favorite one you've done since ive been subscribed!

I don't understand, "Some pretty up should secure him"? BTW, I love this design. I just had a customer requesting a T-Rex and had to tell him there weren't really any good designs out there. Now I can tell him there is!

sheri davies

hi, im loving your designs and at the moment currently printing the dragon in 300%

sheri davies

can i please ask what scale the big dinosaur is printed at ? the one that you are holding in the picture. thanks

Skye Wade

Hoping for more dinosaurs! 🙏

Poly maker has some great military colors that would look great without paint. I love their olive green, army green and I can’t remember the name of the matte grey mix they have that I like.

Paul Harvey

I love this, and I really like that filament color. What brand and filament is that?

Andrea

So Im trying to make the T-Rex and for some reason some of the prints just stop after the first layer, is there something I should be doing? I printed the tail and that was fine. Im going to try again.

Kekreations 3D

It seems like maybe the G-code got corrupted or something, did you try re-downloading and re-slicing to print again?

Andrea

So I use a brand new mini sd card and did the right things and still did it.i redownloaded the files too. I can print other things just fine except I noticed the chameleon did the same thing. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong. Im going to try the egg to see if it’s something I’m doing wrong.

Hey Kekreations, I have tried every single trick in the book to get the body of this guy to print off and no matter what I try around the 80-90 layer the right arm chucks itself off the build plate. I've resigned myself to the fact that he'll just have some "battle damage" for the print that I'm running now, but I've tried different build plate materials, different speeds, glue, different infill types...any no matter what I do that right arm always flies off. I'm gonna try some painted brim ears and see if that'll go but the contact area of these arms is TINY.

I am a Boutique subscriber, but I would like to buy this one; is it available for that please?

Joshua Mercer

The painted brims worked swell actually! That’s my fault, sometimes I can get lazy with how good these printers are these days.

I printed this gorgeous dino at 105% and i cant get it to stand up! it will without the head but if i put the head on it topples over

Kekreations 3D

Be sure to press the legs upwards into the hip sockets and they'll kind of snap into place to give it more stability! :)

Sadi Alford

i think its the knees. the ball joint right under the hip is a bit loose so it folds inward rather than staying up

Kekreations 3D

It takes some balancing, but lock in the hip sockets and then bend the knees forward and then the joints will rest on themselves without needing to be tight.
