I am genuinely going to seminary to become a priest and I find it odd that American Evangelicals are so deadset on purity culture. There is nothing in the Bible that suggests masturbation is a sin, or porn inherently. It warms against letting your lust take over you to the point that you harm others but that's the warning of all the seven deadly sins. It's not that you're unsalvagable for giving in once in a while it's that if you let these things be your ultimate guide in life it hurts you and those around you. Anyway haha poop
