Matthew (the Matt one), the reason you can't as quickly or easily read 8 fingers like you can 1 and 2 is because the human brain can only instantly recognize 4 items. If someone holds up 0-4 fingers, you won't have to think about it, but if they hold up 5+, you'll have to take a few milliseconds to actually process it
