Wow the foreshadowing is almost super obvious after re-reading. Of course now that I know what to look for it’s obvious to me. i knew Mable saying “dipper, my boy” was super off putting, like that’s weird. That’s so weird, Mable doesn’t talk like that. Man I love the foreshadowing to this reveal
