Since I haven't gotten my answer, I'll go ahead and make a guesstimate of the context- - Lanolin and Jewel soon find out that Duo is Mimic, and Jewel being a virgin becomes preggers with Mimic's kids- UH OH!~~~~~~~ RED FLAG!! - Lanolin and Jewel are ashamed of themselves, and as leaders of Restoration HQ/Diamond Cutters, they've failed epically as irresponsible individuals, and now redemption and consequences must be faced. No more horny Lanolin/Jewel because of consequences~ - Poor Mimic is likely traumatized from all the unwanted sex he's been coerced/forced/blackmailed into and puts most of the blame on Clutch! LOL! Poor Mimic needs therapy~~ - You can't have a shameless-fest without CONSEQUENCES involved~ - Consequences~ Consequences~ Consequences is KEY!~~~ :D Did I guess right? :DDDD

Sorry for the late response, but yes, the first three issues have Mimic as the protagonist. As for the context without spoiling TOO much. it’s pretty much the same as the events that lead up to the Clean Sweepstakes Arc in canon, only real difference is that everyone’s pretty horny for Duo, and Duo’s not very horny for them. Mimic is only doing all of this because Clutch promised him a chance to kill Whisper, but there seems to be a new plan now that he hasn’t been informed of yet. Clutch rigs this new security system with Tekno’s help and sees this as an opportunity to not only make money but to expose the Restoration as being unfit to be ran by a bunch of deviants in order to incite public outcry so he can subplant himself as the leader and absorb the Restoration into his company. The Clean Sweepstakes is like the world’s biggest stage to do that in.
