It's the end of the night, we've had a full month of wedding festivities. How did everyone like it? I'm happy I was able to pull something like this off, and I do believe I put to pages what I had planned. Wedding prep at Tabitha's, the wedding itself at the Pines, and an Afterparty at the bar. Just a reminder, no comic next week as I recover a bit of stamina from this task and also take my time to work on an ending for Trio Trouble. See you on Thursday for the alternates! “I’ve been growing it out for a while, figured why not ask one of the stylists at the modelling agency to fluff it up some for the wedding.”

Hayley is chatting with Claryssa near the end of the latter’s wedding afterparty. Music is playing, most of the guests have gone home, and everyone had a great time. Claryssa smiles at her friend’s hair choice. “It looks good, Hayley. And going back to your old style should be easy if you want.”

Hayley nods and meanders around to the remaining faces. Ayyla sits in a corner while chatting with Ivy and Darlene is mid-conversation with Betty. Hayley catches feisty snippet as she walks over. Betty’s voice is high class as usual. “With how my Rose Quartz darlings are all going to the gym these days, perhaps I might sign up as well. My newlywed sister is likely to start helping run the establishment.”

Darlene, having had a few, puts on a smirk and teases. “Careful, you might lose what little you’ve got in the chest department if that’s the case. Ha!”

There’s a twitch in Betty’s eye and she leans forward, margarita tipping over as she puts on her best grimace. “Funny… And to think I’ve been on my best… behavior.” Through gritted teeth she keeps smiling. “Don’t make me revert to my old ways, Miss Art Model… I’ve been trying to be better."

Betty stands up and requests a new song. Hayley, without fully understanding the exchange, comforts a shellshocked Darlene. She knew Darlene was prone to digging herself into a hole at times, and could only assume the poor girl had bitten off more than she could chew. “Maybe that’s your last drink for tonight. Floyd can take you home, right?”

“Uh huh…” Darlene says.

By the end of the evening, Hayley is enjoying her wallflower position as she watches the crowd with Ayyla. She compliments the latter’s mother’s dance moves. Ayyla proudly responds. “I know. Comes with experience, but she’s had practice again recently. Think you’ll learn with Roger?”

“Maybe. We’re a good match, but I’m in no rush. I get why you don’t wear shoes anymore by the way.”

“Oh? Yeah, I was about your size when I stopped bothering. Too expensive.”

“You’re telling me. These were tight all day, I don’t think I’ll miss them. Though… heels are fun.”
