Harkening back to when Ayyla and Hayley spoke during Halloween, we see these two on a trip to Floyd's Bar! More to be heard next week, but this is Ayyla's journal for now.

Upcoming Schedule:

July 26th: 2031 March Extra (Floyd's Bar)

August 2nd: 2031 March Hayley (Continued)

August 9th: Exploring The Endless Chapter 8

I used to come to this playground as a kid. It’s been maintained, cleaned and no doubt gets plenty of use by the newest generation of kids… But looking at it still makes me sad. It’s not a size thing, I think I’d feel this way even if I didn’t have this condition so it’s something a little more normal. We all outgrow things… It’s a fact of life.

I’m just outgrowing things some people take for granted. Trees, that’s a new one. I’m not sure when it started but I find that tree branches are almost always too low to walk under. Tell me where a 14’7” gal can walk through the forest unhindered… Maybe I ought to take a hike this Summer.

If there’s one thing I’m thankful not to be outgrowing, at least not measurably, it’s my friends. I’m not judged, teased or left out (if they can help it) when it comes to my group. Even as I tower over, say, Darlene and Beatrice, they make me feel at home. Hayley on the other hand, and my sister as well, they’re consistent reminders I’m not alone in this.

I’ve known Hayley for quite some time now. However I get the feeling some things are unsaid between us. I’m always surprised hearing an alternate take on this whole ‘forever getting taller’ thing, whether it was Daisy’s envy or Hayley’s outright desire to grow bigger. We arranged a gal’s night just the two of us to indulge in any curiosities one another might have.

I can’t promise I’ll share what we chatted about. Hayley and I both have gotten where we are through experiences that don’t need to be fully documented in my public journal… But it was certainly eye-opening. I hope to chat more in the future, it’s nice knowing she’s happy with what she’s becoming.
