I Just Finished Solo Leveling Season 2! (Patreon)

I have to say this was an INCREDIBLE season, and I personally enjoyed watching this season much more than season one.

I want to make some notes about my theories here so that when season three eventually rolls around, I won't have forgotten everything lol I'm pretty good at remembering things, but just in case I'd rather have it written down. Plus this way you guys can also share your thoughts for season three!

Theories

• Jinwoo is the catastrophe his father has come to warn the world about & the system or the higher being behind the system (ergo Jinwoo) is the enemy the demon realm was preparing to fight.

• The two characters at the end of the season finale are either players like Jinwoo or they are higher beings, gods even, that can also lend their power to a player of their choice. I tend to believe they are also higher beings because they refer to the "him" that Jinwoo's power originates from and I'm not sure players would have that knowledge.

• The system itself is controlling and changing the gates to specifically be tailored to Jinwoo once he enters them in order to make him stronger. This one I think is pretty much confirmed but I gotta put it under theories as it has not been explicitly stated in the show.

• Jinwoo's reconciliation with his father will not be the happy kind. I predict he will be angry at his father for abandoning him and his family. That anger of being forced to be the responsible one with everything on his shoulders must be within him somewhere. I think it'll come out when his father comes back.

• Jinwoo and his father will be forced to fight each other at some point, because he will recognize his son's power as the catastrophe. This will add another layer of tension to their reconciliation and relationship, especially if the father knows but tries to ignore it.

• Cha Hae-in might be another player. Not only did the two characters at the end mention a "her" that would hate the stench, but Cha also mentions she wants to stand beside Jinwoo and that she needs to become stronger. That's not possible unless she is also a player. I think Cha was also chosen by a higher being and inherited that being's high sensitivity when it comes to smells.

What I Want in Season 3

• Season 2 really opened up the world, and at the end of the episode we saw other S-Ranks from other countries. I want to meet them all and see them fight. Each other or monsters. I'm not picky lol

• I also want Jinwoo to keep interrogating beasts to learn more about the system. I want to see the dungeon from the perspective of a beast that was put there. We got it with Tusk a little bit and I loved it, I want more.

• If the demon realm exists outside the gates and dungeons, how do we get there? I want to visit it and also see Esil again. I think that dungeon reset after Jinwoo left, so is Esil still in the dungeon or is she sent back to where she came from?

• I want more inner dialogue from Jinwoo. We used to get a lot more, but this season not so much. I want him to wrestle with what he's become once he realizes he is not in control. I want him to realize he is the threat to humanity and I want to see the inner conflict that stirs within him. How can he reconcile who he is with what he's done and what he's meant to do, all while being forced to keep surviving no matter what. Who will he be forced by the system to kill next? I don't think it's done with him even if it has been silent this season. What will the system do if Jinwoo disobeys it? Tries to go against it? I want to see this. I'm pretty sure I won't get it in season three though.
