i kinda think the whiplash team avengers, had to little points. i generell found them way bettter then team 2, and i found most members in there better, idk how some guys lost (but team 2 was good): I also found the tws all star team better, they were more stable vocally. i think sexy did fine, he almost didnt had much lines in the song. the other, kill the romeo was great. the same with this rising sun ones, tho some main vocal notes were a little off. this ep frustraited me a little lol.

You have to realize that they only have a week/2 weeks to practice the songs, if you have to keep setting goals each day, you will end up not reaching the target. You should try and learn by yourself the first couple of hours, after that come together and discuss what is hard for you, then train with the group and in the end tweak some things, but Yichen is stuck in the “I need to get better” phase, while the “We need to get better is more key to the groups result.

Also, that work ethic Yichen is aiming for only works in the west. From what I remember, last season, En Garde team was slacking in terms of practice before and they got scolded for that, in the end they trained from 8:30 to 05:00 to make the performance up to expectation and even more. The thing is, to win this show, you should work more than you want to, when you debut, you can relax a bit more (but not too much). Also finalizing the performance way ahead of time is a great idea so you can relax more, only don’t give that away too much when being reviewed by the mentors, because they will expect even more from you.

All star plot twist losing when they were probably one of the best performance alongside rising sun team in this 1st mission.. also, boheng getting 55 and bowen getting 60 votes is the start of my villain arc. Genuinely got so annoyed when I watched this episode live..

Whiplash teams reaching a tie in audience vote was honestly so unexpected and shocking considering the fact that most of the people who got to attend the show overwhelmingly praised team 1. This mission was actually filmed a month ago even before first episode was released so we can assume that even though they were 'avengers' this is pre-show and they were not as popular as they are now. Two things I think most likely happened for them to have lost the audience votes and why they don't necessarily have to be objectively right (Not that I think One star team were bad, just all star did better): 1. Mnet randomly picked the audience from people who applied to attend and participants can get lucky if your fans get to attend. Then they hand out 200 voting devices to fans (not sure about the process for how it gets distributed) among all the ones that attended. Majority of the audience there doesn't get to vote. Also they can tell whose fan you are based on the signs and posters you carry so... 2. Unfortunately some people vote strategically, they don't vote for trainees who performed well but depending on who they think will not threaten their pick's position. So they can be in the same team and not get their vote. I think this might be especially true considering Team 1 still won MCD and studio choom benefit which is chosen through a separate audience vote for the team they like the best. They were voted best but somehow their teammates lost? 3. pity votes exist Sad to see Yumeki, Junseo, Chingyu and Yoonmin lose in individual votes, especially Yoonmin who did so much better than his opp.

I have this double edged sword with Zhongxing, because on one side, he is someone who is hard to mold, but he does his job at the end, but on the other side he is also the one person to really show us what a sh*t show MNET is in terms of editing and production. The fact a staff member demanded him to put on the LOSE sticker is such a dramatic thing MNET seems to really keep close to their hearts. I mean, if i want to watch some drama unfold, I would just watch Love Island. About the prop, I get it though, Verivery also had the heart in their performance which drew a lot of attention. Besides that, he is the center, it fits the vibe of the song and it could give you the extra push to surpass the 2 star team if you were to be close in terms of quality. I do think they should have decided it by forehand, but I feel like the others (especially Sho, who is very bossy for someone who has no experience) wouldn't have seen the purpose of the prop. Zhongxing is also mad because he is one of the only rappers in the group and the main rapper part has been given to a small boy, who doesn't rap and doesn't fit the roll at all (No real hate to Sho, I hope he debuts, but he needs to be humbled a lot, I wouldn't take something like that from someone who only trained for 1 month, imagine signing with an agency today and on 09-09-2025 telling people like Yumeki, who has been a professional for years that he does the choreo wrong, while the thing he is teaching them himself is the wrong stuff)

Also Zhen stared off really well in KTR but he legit lost it on the singing parts (because he is a rapper), so I feel like he isn't the one to speak up to Zhongxing. IMO Sho is the person that caused the chain reaction on that team by choosing his own preferences over the teams over all look and feel. Also they all have to be eliminated for the shows sake (except for the people that weren't involved in this fighting like Zihhao, Jingkun, Chrisen, ...)

Something doesn't sit right with the Whiplash matchup to me. The all star team got these leather outfits that the females in the audience love and that fits the concept the best (AESPA had those outfits themselves), while the one star team got military outfits that weren't flattering at all. Besides that, I feel like Junhyuk had the completely wrong idea of what the song is about which made his performance weird compared to the others (it felt like he was trying to give us a whiplash by kicking us in the head, while the others did the whiplash by appearance and attractiveness kind of thing)
