Finally someone who shares my thoughts! Wk1 is trying too hard to represent them in a certain way when it's clear that is not the group's actual feel. In my opinion, their strength is their vocal diversity and duality. Songs like formula & raw flame despite having good production do not show off their vocals. Whereas chains, nb2h, freak alarm, cinnamon shake are more close to their sound. Their romantic and energetic vibe tagline also goes perfectly w these songs. Most of this album was created even before the group was formed. So, I'm excited to see their way forward from this. I really hope W1 lets these guys experiment in the studio on their own to help them discover their common ground. I feel like contemp rnb, soul, pop and funky genres are gonna be good fits for them!
