LETS GO i have been especially excited for this episode bc of fluke’s performance !!!! fluke’s performance is my number one favorite survival show performance of all time and it’s not even close. i like,,, don’t even have the words to describe how much i love this performance. his voice is so good,,, his dancing is so emotional,,,, the whole thing makes me cry A Lot,,,, the part with the fan is so cool,,,, i literally do not even care about it not being live like . yeah that would’ve made it even better but this performance means so much to me that even with the minus points for not singing live it’s still my favorite ever. i’m not a huge fan of hong’s performance here tbh. it’s actually mostly Not on him, it’s moreso that 1) i do NOT like this song and 2) he’s sandwiched in between my two favorite challenge alpha performances of tbe entire show. i think his stage presence is CRAZY but his weakness was his energy levels. sometimes he wasn’t giving enough, sometimes he was giving a good amount, and then sometimes he gave so much that he didn’t have enough energy in other parts. i do think that varying one’s energy is a good thing, i just dont know if he did it in the right parts here. i do commend him for doing it more live than the other two so im not gonna fault him for running out of breath. i agree w your comments on his tone and i think he just hasn’t really established a sound as a rapper yet. like you said, it was especially apparent in his english rap,,, and maybe that’s just it to us bc we speak english and cant speak thai, but im inclined to believe that’s bc the english is the part that he wrote , whereas with the thai part he was able to emulate the tone and flow of the rappers who did that part originally . overall i think its pretty good but not up to par with the other two. fun fact, when he says the “zcret this one for you my bro” line, he’s mentioning kade! zcret is his stage name! from the comments i’ve seen, most people like this performance but there’s only a very small subsection of people who think he should’ve won here. i <3 lego’s performance here. i’ve always said that even though fluke’s is by far my fav, i 10000% understand why lego’s would be someone else’s bc its just so good. dan is pretty infamous for the comments he made towards lego here bc literally NOBODY agrees. this is one of the most viewed performances on youtube and there are HUNDREDS of comments going “what was dan talking about this is so good” . i think it’s fine to criticize his singing bc it IS his weak point, but the claim that “anyone could do what he did” is just so stupid bc when i first watched this performance i was just struck by how lego it was. i truly don’t think a single other person on the planet could’ve performed that in the same way lego did. i get that dan wanted to give some tough love but i think you can do that without being needlessly cruel and saying things that just aren’t true. and given that lego’s voice has already improved immensely between ep1 and ep6 i think even criticizing his voice THAT hard is a bit over the top. i think stamp and kangsom were able to talk about his vocals in a way that was real but respectful. when i watched i was really nervous that lego would lose his seat so im really happy with the outcome . i love hong so much i think he is the funniest contestant and he IS talented but sometimes it feels like the judges just REALLY like him. nothing wrong with biases obviously, and maybe his stage presence irl is so crazy that it makes him completely stand out in a way that can’t be captured on screen, but for me this decision wouldn’t have even been a question (although if i was a judge he would be my second choice for best beta in the first place) just a note for next episode!!! the phrase “upbeat pop” is a bit of a translation error. they’re referring to performances that have a specifically fun, thai feel (think so dern by dice or those two unserious playful performances in the semifinals of 789 survival. i forget their names😭)

I also don’t agree with that Lego hate, he did good. I remember paying more attention to Hong after this performance, I saw some real potential there. It wasn’t the best but I could see why they were hyping him up. They really wanted a rapper up there, lol. Fluke was one of my favorites on the show, he also did good.
