took me a bit to get to this bc i was out of town but i am so happy to get to watch ! i think it’s good that you reacted to kub here from bus and so dern from dice bc now you know what vibe they’re going for here. project alpha was my first time listening to any kind of thai music so i was so confused when i first watched this😭 overall this round isn’t my favorite bc im just not a fan of the music itself but i think the performances themselves are quite good. all of the original versions of the songs used in this episode are chill, relaxing, and easy to listen to so i’d recommend checking them out if you have the time good boy isn’t my favorite,, i think it’s the song i like the least,,, HOWEVER i think they did well here !!! william’s rap is so good and i loved that nut stood out a lot here rather than kind of playing a supporting role like he did in their other performances. however fluke and lego were the only ones who i felt were like,, actually enjoying themselves the full time here (nut and william were also great at fitting the vibe and having fun! just felt like there were some moments where they were focusing super hard and didn’t let loose as much as fluke and lego). i also do not consider this dancehall😭 dan was def just fucking around with the asking for nut’s number comment, he has a wife ,, but i still feel kinda weird about the amount of jokes the judges (and guest judges) make about nut being hot or wanting to date him or whatever given that he was only 19 at the time of filming :/ i agree w your comments on can i call you mine. the song is SO much better than good boy😭 and they were all super into the song but the technicalities weren’t as impressive as good boy. i think this performance is so cute with them saying their names at the beginning and the sneeze ending fairy (among other things) and i think keen’s voice fits this song really well. i disagree w the judges though bc i feel like deaw and keen were the ones who fit the concept and let loose the most, not deaw and hong (although it could just be bc keen had a lot more screentime in the edited version than hong did) oh also !!! about the “we need to film another take” thing the judges mentioned — sometimes, after judging, they refilm the performances with a moving camera so they can get all up in the contestants’ faces without blocking them off from making eye contact with the judges or whatever. you can find “moving versions” of all of the performances on youtube i LOVE fire boy. it was actually the first performance to reach 1m views on youtube and is currently the third most viewed performance from the whole show. they all did amazing here and i think nicky is the most clear cut choice for best beta out of all of the rounds so far. it’s just hard to imagine them picking anyone else bc he stood out so much . champ also did INCREDIBLE and i think if he went up against literally anyone else he would’ve been chosen, but it’s like the judges said: nicky was like actually hypnotizing it’s hard to focus on anyone but nicky here. fire boy was actually performed on 789survival in the semifinal round (the one where apo, obo, frame, alex, cheese, and jay were eliminated💔) which sounds a lot more similar to the original version of the song. cute is disappointing to me bc i think the song is a lot of fun and i LOVE the choreography here it’s just kinda undermined by how they’re all out of sync. i pretty much agree with all of the judges’ comments. otto tui and peempeem did great individually but together they were going in completely different directions and phat still just seemed like he couldn’t let loose. and it def feels super rehearsed. you’re definitely right that they didn’t have enough time to be silly bc of the choreo which just makes it unfortunate that their dancing wasn’t completely in sync bc if they were gonna focus their performance on the dance it should really be perfect. i do really like the second verse though it’s a lot of fun. tui being the sole survivor of his team two rounds in a row sucks so bad i’d feel so guilty in that situation. when i first watched i actually really thought it was gonna be peempeem who stayed bc he’s the only one who was selected to be part of the special show via being one of the top voted contestants Both Times . but then when tui mentioned he had been number one last week i was like,,, wait maybe it IS him. can’t wait for next ep!
