yay! i’ve been waiting to see this esp since you said last ep that you thought nicky could become an alpha hehe i think i semi agree with you on the whole “kryptonite being risky for nut” thing? the judges seemed more worried about the vibe of the song itself and i agree with you that i think he fit the song’s vibe pretty well. i think the risky thing was that he chose to do a vocal heavy song when dancing is his stronger suit. i do think he pulled it off well though!!! i agree with you in general ,,, there wasn’t too much wrong with the performance but it didn’t totally wow me either. i think he seemed a LITTLE nervous but not enough for zani to say she didn’t like the entire first half😭 i def agree with your whole thing about nicky not caring if he looks weird on stage bc he just goes for it. i think he has such incredible stage presence and he just always seems like he’s having so much fun performing. i don’t really have much to say about his performance here it’s just really solid. i know most people disagree but it’s actually my fav performance this episode :) even though i personally like nicky’s performance more, i 1000000000% understand why everyone loves william’s so much bc he really was perfect. i just found nicky’s more engaging but william genuinely is so talented i cannot believe a 17 year old has a voice like THAT. the judges’ comments here always make me tear up and the youtube comments too,,, one comment i read said something like “what did william do in his last life to be blessed with a voice like this” 😭😭😭 i 100000000000% agree with you on the adlibbing in put mai kit. i love the verses in this performance so much (and you’re right keen did Amazing here) but the choruses are so heavy on the adlibs that it just feels messy at times. i think that + the fact that the falsetto in the chorus doesn’t sound super stable at times weakens this performance for me a lot. it’s cute but it’s one of the performances i rewatch the least in other project alpha related news they released the profiles for the contestants for season 2 this morning!!!! i’d highly advise not looking at them though, a couple of the contestants mention the members who debut through s1 (they were asked their dream artists to collab with) SO excited for next episode you have no idea hehe! thanks as always for the great reaction, i love hearing all of your in depth thoughts :)

still no premiere date but i assume you’ll be done with s1 by the time it airs bc s1’s initial profiles were posted around two months before the first episode aired !

I love William’s voice, he was one of my favorites on the show! I also love the guy who has the original song, his voice is just perfection. Some voices just resonates with you, William, Jeff Satur (the guy who has the original song), Baekhyun (Exo) and Haechan’s (Nct) voices does that for me. I also really like Nut’s performance, it’s my favorite of his. He was a little nervous, but he sounded great. I remember thinking the first time I watched his performance that the judges wanted him to play the part of the handsome and flirty guy and that they didn’t want him to show this side of himself. I felt like they had already assigned them their roles and wanted them to stick to them. Not just Nut. Nicky’s performance was also really good. It would be fun if you watched the first mv and the last mv of the final group in a reaction video, to compare them. Unless you like to go in chronological order when you check out groups?

Hehe, you can do it your way too, if you want. But it might take you a little while to watch everything, unless you do multiple songs in a reaction. Those two songs aren’t my favorite ones, I just thought it would be fun for you to see the difference and how much they have grown up. You have their official music videos, their ost music videos and a bunch of live performances you can watch. Some of my favorite performances are the live ones from their concerts and these three songs that were performed with one of the judges and his piano. But if you want to try what I suggested then I can send you links to them 😊. Their first couple of songs aren’t among my favorites, but people have different tastes in music, so you might like them more than I do and not the ones I prefer. Some of my favorites are their ost songs too.
