There are 2 songs, Ride or Die and Overflow. The Overflow song is out but the mv is supposed to be out tomorrow. It is a totally different genre. I love both songs so much. They are both so emotional and he wrote, composed and produced both. I totally disagree with you, I think Ride or Die is amazing and I’m not truly into alt rock. He is a ghost and the people don’t notice him anywhere in the video. This is his very emotional song about his recent past

I think it was 100% worth it that he left for this song and Overflow and I’m so excited to hear the rest of the album. If he felt like he was not seen as a member of Enhypen, then I applaud his departure

You have to realize too he wrote and produced these songs in less than 4 months. He may have had the songs written before then but to do the rest was all super fast and during a huge upheaval in his life. While the songs video and sound may not b to your liking just realize he had a very short turnaround and may not have had the time to truly fine-tune things the way enhyphen has as they start working on them way in advance. I doubt he expected things to go as fast as they did and that can be seen in the video and lyrics. While he may have chosen to leave enhyphen I doubt he will ever forget them and all the tributes in the video shows how much he misses them and respects them too. Give him some grace and I'm sure his next album will b better

While I applaud him for putting a lot of effort into his own creation...I still don't think the song is that good. I do love the idea of him being a ghost in the MV, that makes much more sense to me now. But regardless of who made the music, I still have to like the music in the end. I don’t, and I think it would go against my own morals if I had to lie to everyone and tell them how great I think it is when I don't actually feel that way. Maybe I'll like the 2nd song is better, but that still won't change how I feel about this one 🤷🏻‍♂️

And herein lies the problem; what’s the rush? Why did he have to debut so soon? I completely understand that regardless of the group, most members have their own careers and livelihoods to think about. Most idols are only in groups to further their own careers to begin with, whether people like to admit that or not, it's the simple truth. And like I said in my video, he should be allowed to leave if he wants to leave. So he left. But if we're doing things more so on HIS terms now, why was there a rush to push him out there? The song doesn't become less personal by waiting longer and to - in my opinion - improve it some more. I'm hoping I like the 2nd song more, but that’s not going to change my mind about this one.

That is fair. I wasn’t sure that I would like it from the teaser he put out but when I read his interviews about the song and then heard it, I fell in love with it. Maybe because it was such a powerful message from him

I agree to the rushing it shouldn't have been but I think the company had a bigger push to have him debut as a solo quickly to give fans something else to look at and talk about. Do I wish it could have been a bit longer yes as I don't think the company gave him a fair shot in debuting properly and with resources he was used to. Yes the company knows what he can do but only as a group member not just a soloist so I bet they played a bigger part in the rush. Again my view in things as an outsider seedling what we all kinda saw but if u look at the company's track record that isn't bts it seems alot of this can b placed on them

And that's totally fine! I WANT him to be successful and to not have his whole solo venture go to waste. But I also have to be honest with how I feel...and the thing about me and music is I'm always gonna give others the space to feel different and disagree if they want! I never mean any harm to the artist, and unfortunately in the Kpop world any criticism is viewed as a personal attack. But it's difficult to talk about the quality of the music given the circumstances surrounding it. I appreciate your words, thank you Kay! 🙏🏻
