Announcement: Proper Shaders for VC (Patreon)
Content
Released here.
NOTE: The $300 spent on the project was for the San Andreas version, not Vice City. My focus is almost entirely on the SA version, having done more than half of the features there. Ports to VC and III are a way to try to recoup some of the investment.

Proper Shaders is a shader mod for GTA SA that I proposed last year.
The idea is to improve the old GTA graphics without breaking the game or hurting performance.
I don't have much experience with coding, but I've been around GTA modding since 2014 and I know how the game works internally, so I started using AI assistant services. By combining my knowledge of the game with their assistant, I was able to add shaders to GTA SA through my Nano Shaders project. I didn't just prompt, "Hey, do this for me, make no mistakes.", there was lots of manual works in the code.
Junior saw my Nano Shaders project and noticed the potential in the idea, so we started working on our Proper Shaders for SA.
At the moment, I have already spent around $300 of my savings on the mod, and about half — maybe more — of the features in it came from me. I haven't earned a single penny from it. I'm not wealthy, and I can't keep burning through my savings to make the mod, so I decided to port Proper Shaders from SA to VC and III to at least try to recoup my investment.
The alpha version for VC will be released now in the $5 tier and features: Real-time cascaded per-pixel shadows with PCSS (not blurred at moment, similar to 03-26 release for sa, will make blurred in the next updates) , HDR simulation with ACES tonemap (like modern games), Sun rays, Lightmaps support (requires the Xbox map), Mipmapping support and dual-pass transparency fixes.
The plan is to update it monthly, day 25, backporting the stuff we made for SA.
I might also release other textures mods and projects on this tier. I have a lot of ideas in mind, but I have depression, so having energy for even more projects is complicated, but I really want to do more stuff later.
And to be clear, this WILL NOT affect RoSA releases schedule, I can manage my time between projects.
