You and I are similar in that we both get deep, DEEP satisfaction for either calling people out on their shit or at least seeing it happen lmao. I don't necessarily consider myself a smug person overall, but, I definitely feel it when I'm able to prove someone wrong. Especially when they're being an absolute shit about it. Nothing quite satisfies like seeing someone who's being a smug lil shit get taken down a peg. Be it in real life or in TV or movies. I just love it hahaha. Also, I agree. They did a very good job in making this (as well as the subsequent shows) feel like very separate things. You don't spend the whole time comparing the characters to their actor's counterparts in the other shows. Maybe in small part because you get so caught up in wondering WHAT THE F IS GOING ON. This one has a lot of twists. This one, I believe, was based on The Turn of the Screw. Which also had a movie called The Turning which came out a few years ago, around a similar time actually, based on it. I didn't care for it as much. But, Finn Wolfhard played one of the "creepy children" lol. He was also Mike in Stranger Things. Between the two I'd definitely recommend this version.

So funny you say Flora’s accent is forced when she’s actually English! Whereas the narrator and Henry’s attempts at it are seriously atrocious 😂
